And apparently she shoved it in the face of Idol record Executive Clive Davis. In an interview with Elle magazine, the original American Idol divulged that she had turned down 10 Million Dollars from Clive Davis in an effort from Davis to make Kelly ditch 5 songs on her album for a more radio friendly assortment of tracks. For those who can't sense it, since it's print and all, when she talks about the 10 million dollars, she's being sarcastic
i don't really think it's about her being a woman though. she's turning it into some sort of feminist thing when really i think record execs want to make more money any way they can. it's not about her being a woman, it's about them wanting to squeeze every last dollar out of her.
Exactly. It's not about if you're a man or a woman, the color of your skin, your sexual preference, or any of that... it's about raping every last cent out of you.
Wether if it's because she's a woman or because of the money, she did good about saying "NO" and actually valuying herself. Her new CD rocks!, and I like her better as more rock-ish than pop-ish. She's badass!
Yeah, you did it. It is nice to see this for Clarkson, but I recently got to know on Evthreads that Clarkson and her manager split because of the direction Kelly has taken. Unfortunally, I cannot post any link.
