First thing that RVD needs to do in TNA if so, is to restart the RVD/Lynn feud. EDIT: PWTorch.com's Wade Keller is reporting that RVD is officially done with WWE as of yesterday. WWE felt that keeping RVD around and burying him on TV was not worth it and it was better to get him off TV as soon as possible. His contract wasn't going to expire until until late June at the earliest but WWE cut that short considering RVD said he would not resign and they had nothing for him until then. He is expected to sign with TNA after a long deserved summer break, although he may end up back with WWE as the two are still on good terms. Never say never.
From PWHeadlines: I don't know why they released Ariel yet. But all I can say is: Why get rid of her, when she's there every week and not get rid of Trinity or any other diva they don't use? WWE really has to get their head straight. EDIT: This just in:
That's fucked up that they released S2H, I was hoping that plans to reform Too Cool would get the go ahead but obviously not now.
Apparently Ariel got fired. The release appears to be related to a backstage incident involving Martinez and Batista at last Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Baltimore. The two of them got into an argument in front of a number of talents while watching the taping on a monitor backstage. Whatever the argument was about hasn't come out yet, but the feeling among those spoken to was that Martinez was defending herself against Batista. Seeing how she was on the wrong side of things politically, she ended up in the crosshairs of the company. When push came to shove, she became an enemy of Batista, who happens to be a friend of Triple H, husband of the woman who can now fire you. Stephanie McMahon, who is now in charge of who gets fired and who gets hired, was never a fan of her. She also felt as though that she didn't have the "WWE Diva look." It also didn't help matters that she was a talent hand-picked by Paul Heyman for ECW when it was originally launched, and as we all know, Stephanie absolutely loathes Heyman. All those factors worked against her and she was shown the door. With the departure of Ariel, Kevin Thorn has been told that he may be receiving a makeover/new look, which leads some to believe that the darker/vampire elements of his character will go away. There were a few people who felt that since ECW writer Dave Lagana isn't one to rock the boat, he's going to go with whatever WWE management wants, instead of trying to fight for the characters and making it work.
http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/smackdo...iews&page=1 First look at WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2008. This is the part that interests me. That will ROCK! Another piece of news is that Dave Meltzer reported that RVD does own the terms to the name "Rob Van Dam", so...we're lucky
About fucking time. They need to re-do rosters. Now let's just hope they do it right. Oh shit, Vince heard me....NEVERMIND, PEOPLE!
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and wife Dany Garcia Johnson announced today in People Magazine that they are separating. The statement they released stated: "While certain aspects of our relationship have changed, we are both vitally important to each other's lives. We will continue to advance and manage our business interests, our philanthropic efforts, and most importantly, the raising of our child together as a loving team. We've been fortunate enough to spend the last 17 years together as a couple and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together as best friends and business partners."
Couple little notes: 1.) Benoit is really the only one so far we know that is moving to RAW come next week. Rest, not sure. 2.) Scott Steiner has been injured and needs surgery, so that Slammervisary match is probably off (or changed to something stupider) 3.) Vince Russo is still a douchebag
Okay, so apparently McMahon has been 'pressumed dead'. On another note, the smackdown drafts were terrible. Taking away Benoit and Kennedy and not really replacing them with anyone good.
I'm highly saddened. Why? Sensational Sherri passed away. I used to love her. Heh. But what makes this even worst is the fact Vince McMahon got a 10 bell salute when Sherri might not get one. Anyone else find that McMahon getting that was disrespectful?
Yes. I know it's a storyline. But so wasn't Eddie Guerrero's death. Yes it actually happened but look where they took it. But I find it disrespectful because a character "died" and received a 10 bell salute when other wrestlers (for example: Bam Bam Bigelow and Bad News Brown to name a few) never got one.
