Warner Bros. and Universal Orlando Resort have officially confirmed (finally!) they will be opening an entire "theme park in a park" based on the world of JK Rowling's Harry Potter in 2010, just before the final film is released.

The attraction will include thrill rides, specialized foods, experience-based 'textural' features and more.

I'm so psyched about this. I live only 2 hours away from Orlando. I don't know if there are many people who live in Florida anyway on LPA, but I still thought this would be pretty cool news to show. And even if you don't live in Florida, this would definitely be a theme park to come down and see when it opens. :p

I heard about this and I thought it was the nerdiest (sp?) thing ever, lol. I would so go to it though.

I wanna ride a Nimbius 2000 or whatever.

 Why didn't they just make one in London?

That's obviously the place it should've been placed... but yeah, America is much richer, blabla.

Now I won't be able to see it. :p

Yeah it is pretty nerdy, but I would still definitely go. I wanna go to Hogsmeade. Yeah, I know I'm nerdy when it comes to Harry Potter lol. This theme park sounds like sooo much fun though.

Edit: I agree they should have put the park in London, but whatever, I'm selfish. I don't really care, as long as I'm near it I'm happy haha.

They were thinking about making a HP ride at first at Universal, to replace the Back to the Future ride, but instead, they're doing a Simpsons one.

NERDS though! Oh well, my brother will be pleased.

 There was still a Back to the Future ride? ... that's should've been replaced a long time ago. (I think I've actually been on it when I was in California on holiday, dammit, best vacation ever)

But yeah, I'd still like to see how a modern new theme park would be build, I think it'll look awesome.

My inner nerd had a joygasm just at the idea of a possible partial recreation of Hogwarts, even though it probably wouldn't happen. But you never know, with some of the concept art and some of what is being said.
