I just watched the LOST finale for season 3 and it literally blew me away. I'm still thinking "Damn, did that just happen?!"

So I was wondering what you guys think about the finale.

Please Note is thread will contain Spoilers for people who haven't seen the finale!

Did it change your view on the show? Are you disappointed?

But the questions I really want to see get answered:

Do you guys think they will get saved in the next season? How do you think this will further effect the show?

What do you guys think will happen next?

    Discuss.

I believe the next season consists of flash forwards as well as flash backs, so I'm not sure if they'll get rescued right away, even if Desmond did see Claire getting rescued. I thought the finale was great and the flash forward twist was amazing, not sure if I'm a little dissapointed about it showing Kate & Jack off the island, but I know they wouldn't do it without good reason so I can't wait for season 4.

The whole episode was brilliant, even if I was a little upset to see Charlie killed off, but it had to happen. The flash forward was definitely the highlight of the episode, and how they work this into the next season is beyond me at this point but I still can't wait.

Season 4 will definitely be different with flash forwards but it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Can't wait for it.

They said the 6th season will be the last right?

And flash forwards? I really must not read this thread

Yeah, the sixth season is apparantly the last, and each season from now will only be 16 episodes long.

Totally agree, I love the whole flash forward thing, I've actually never heard of any other movie or show doing that...

I was a little afraid that Naomi girl would be worked into the story for the new season, but I'm glad that didn't happen.

Everything in that last episode fit so smoothly, it was brilliant.

I agree, the finale was amazing! I've missed some episodes here and there, but I know the general story. And the season finale....! I was definitley sad that they killed Charlie, but I mean, we kinda knew it would happen eventually, from all the times Desmond saw Charlie getting killed, we knew it was inevitable. :p
I wasn't dissapointed with the finale, it was intense, kinda emotional, and had the awesome twist of the flash forwards. At the very end when Kate met Jack (and btw EW he looks so bad...) outside the airport, I was like "OOOH it was a flash FORWARD, NOW it makes sense." Because I had been wondering why EVERYONE had seen Jack on the news being the "hero." Because that had only happened like that afternoon when the people at the drug counter were like, "Hey! I saw you on TV!" So when they saw him they were most likely referring to the island situation.
And I think they will get off the island this season, but as Jack said at the very end "we have to go back to the island" that's a little bit of a hint...hmm..I wonder what's going to happen?

That was definately an amazing finale. Right now im just wondering who was in the coffin.

Oh, and im also wondering what the heck Walt was doing there. He just kind of appeared suddenly and then dissapeared.

Im really upset that Charlie died, he was one of my favourite characters, and they made him about 100x better in the last 2 episodes. Then they killed him, which sucks.

    Anyway, great season finale.

I have a stupid feeling that Charlie isnt really dead  But thats just stupid talking, because he drowned.

Who do you think was in the coffin (?) ? John or Ben? He was neither a friend of family, and since John pretty much changed on the island.

I don't think that Walt was ACTUALLY there, I think it was a hallucination. But we can't be sure,

Well, there's always a possibility that Charlie did swim out through that tiny window... :p You never know with Lost.

Personally, I think it must've been Ben in the coffin or someone we haven't heard of yet.
And the person Kate was talking about in the flash forward, who shouldn't know she was there, could be Sawyer.

About Walt, I think he's an image the island uses to guide the castaways of Flight 815. It has happened before...

And what about Jacob? That scene totally freaked me out.

 That's we're trying to figure out... I think we can only guess at who's the person who just died.

But his dad is dead right

Yeah and at that point I wasn't even sure it was a flashforward so I thought the funeral he went to was the one for his father, but then Kate showed and I was like "What!?"

It's possible, though, that his dad isn't dead at all and also working for the Others... or that Jack is that drunk he doesn't even remember his father being dead.

The finale was soo awesome. I'm like the whole flash forward idea for next season a lot. I was super upset about Charlie, he's always been one of my favorite characters so it really sucked to see him go even though I pretty much already knew it was going to happen. Apparently from what I've read so far about season 4 though is this:

    ----

+ We're going to know more about that giant stone foot we saw earlier in the season (or I think season 2, I'm not sure, but Sayid was the one who spotted it if I remember).

+ That psychic lady that Desmond met will be shown more in season 4.

+ Also the writers have been hinting there may be an earlier time slot for the show in 2008.

+ Joe's prediction with the flash forwards and flashbacks within the show next season are going to be applied.

    ----

I don't know much else really.. I get all my news from Lost Easter Eggs in the spoiler section. It's a really good site, I suggest checking it out.

I'm still scratching my head every once in a while trying to figure out what they have in store for us for the next season, but I know it's going to be AMAZING. Also I heard a LOST video game is in the works. I wonder when that will be released?
