Pits are fun, you just got to stay in controll. Usualy if you make it clear you don't want to get into a pit, people accept that and leave you alone. Like i said, pits are fun, just watch yourself. I remember my first pit. Me and my mate just dived in, ran around a bit, then about 10 seconds in i just saw the back of his head come flying back towards me. His head smacked me in the mouth That hurt. Now though, whenever i go to gigs, people just look at me as the 'massive metalhead' and just grab onto my arm and hold on to me for dear life, because they all assume i know what i'm doing If you're going into a pit, just let yourself go. Don't be all uptight about it, because then you will get hurt. If you just follow the pit you are far less likely to get hurt.
Linkin Park visited Vancouver during the Meteora world tour, so I'm guessing there is a chance they'll return to visit once again to perform. Thanks for the tips guys, and the info. Don't get me wrong it's not that I wouldn't like to take part in an activity like that, it's just that if I were to go with my girlfriend, I wouldn't like the idea of her possibly getting hurt. Darn, I wish there really were boundaries instead of it happening it random, oh well. Once again, thanks guys =]
lol. My friend went to the V-Fest today. He says that the mosh pits are fun. He didnt think that they were dangerous at all, and all the people were really nice to each other and helped each other up. lol but then he told me that the whole time he was in the pit he hung out with these two huge buff guys. lol so that could have something to do with it.
I remember punching some guy's back at the last mosh pit I was at. A lot of shoving was involve as well.
Eeeeeh. Mali has pit tickets for MCR, the Rasmus and Evanescence. The last two are in a club, not a huge place, so it'll be impossible to outrun the pit. I'm about 5 ft, I'm going to get squashed
I broke my nose moshing at an AFI show last summer. Totally worth it. If you want some serious fucking dancing, go to a ska show wometime and skank with the rest. I did that once at a battle of the bands and got the weirdest looks ever.
You know what's not fun? Moshing with only two other people. I wanted support Hostage Life when I saw them because theay are great, and third on the bill, but you'll end up looking like a dumbass if you mosh with very little people in a half packed venue like I did.
That's why hardcore dancing was invented. ---- Mosh pits are the most fun thing on the planet, assuming there's not some jackshit psycho security guard type throwing himself around.
Meh, I think someone who I will randomly quote said it best "Hardcore Dancing is for pussies who can't mosh.", But at the sometime, don't be a jackass in the pit. If you search Hardcore Dancing Drive-by 2 on Youtube you can see a funny video.
I went to Bamboozle (my first concert) where I got to see the different mosh pits, depending on the bands, of course. Brand new was pretty hardcore, from what i saw, as well as other few bands like thrice and red jumpsuit apparatus. LP wasn't that bad! so u shouldn't worry too much about mosh pits in a LP concert.
Likewise. It was fucking awesome. You're going to want to look out for where they're forming, if you want to stay away from them. Look out for the outer ring.
