yes, this is the offical one because well... it deserves one. list your favorite hip hop and rap artist, talk about them, point out that 50 cent is a snitch and that aesop rock is a fuckin' poet. any flammers of hip hop or rap will be ass violated by bonecrusher. thanks bye. i've been listening to a lot of peanut butter wolf.
check out a uk based artist called 'sway' hes done some crazy stuff. his albums not too bad either http://www.myspace.com/swaydasafo
First off ,nice thread I'm a rapper myself, and here's a list my favourites: Fort Minor D) Lupe Fiasco Immortal Technique Dr. Dre
Lately I have been listening to Timbaland's "Shock Value" album. I usually don't go for stuff like this, but I love the beats that are featured on his album and all of the songs are equally enjoyable. Good stuff.
I'm also a rapper and i gotta say lupe fiasco is really in my eyes (well ears), the best in terms of rapping, he has an awesome flow that other rappers just can't match
Currently, I'm listening to: Nas Lupe Fiasco Gym Class Heroes Fort Minor Eminem Timbaland P.O.S. Atmosphere Apathy Styles of Beyond
I'm not a huge rap fan, though I do find myself listening to a fair bit of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg nowadays, if that counts.
That album's dope. I got it from a friend, and probably my favorite track is the One Republic track. I have 2 DJ friends who have done their own mixes of Apologize, and Timbaland's is up there. I've heard better though. As of now I'm listening to: Timbaland Jedi Mind Tricks Talib Kweli Nas A lot of HYPHY The Roots A Tribe Called Quest Digable Planets
I don't consider myself as a Rap or Hip Hop fan at all, I even tend to "dislike" the whole music genre but that's just because of the mainstream. My favourites are: Lupe Fiasco, obviously. He's amazing. Mike Shinoda (both in Linkin Park as in Fort Minor) Gym Class Heroes, great music. N.E.R.D., these guys have made some amazing music too. Eminem And maybe some others I'm forgetting here because I almost never listen to them at all. Like I said before most of the mainstream doesn't appeal to me at all and I think that's rather sad, I just don't like the whole Hip Hop "attitude", I guess.
I think Food & Liquor is a very good album and Lupe has the potential to become a legend or at the very least a major cult artist like The Roots or ATCQ.
Ah, N.E.R.D. How could I forget? Their track on Fast and Furious 3 was dope. Go check it out, it's called Rockstar Remix.
Dalek Beastie Boys Wu-Tang Clan Nas N.W.A. Public Enemy Profecy And Terror X Crew are my all time favourite rap artists but they're Greek so meh.
I gotta say I really don't like rap all at much. I have The Rising Tied album, but other than that the only thing related to rap is Beastie Boys. I don't like any of the current rap cause its all about drugs and money and whores and goin to clubs its like YOULL FIND ME IN DA CLUB okay okay I get it you're always in the club.
I don't really listen to a lot of rap. I find myself being randomly inspired to listen to hip-hop and rap, but it was only over the past year that I actually started listening to some artists. I really like being able to feel the beat when I'm in the car. It just feels so good. Lupe Fiasco Fort Minor Eminem Dr. Dre Snoop Dogg Dead Celebrity Status Timbaland Nas Tupac
Royce Da 5'9" is the sickest rapper alive right now. He used to be best friends with Eminem, but they got into a fight because Eminem signed 50 Cent to his label and not Royce. For more information, go to his Wikipedia page. The song "How Come" by D12 is about Royce. Everybody pick up his "Death Is Certain" album. It's a masterpiece in my opinion. Also, everybody please listen to his song, "T.O.D.A.Y." (off Death Is Certain). It is one of my favorite songs and it just shows how awesome he is. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=86757094
