What iTunes Did: The Video is Up!

I can't decide whether they're going in a good direction or bad. I definitely don't like the way they LOOK, and most singles are repetitive, but I'm hoping that AOL rep's comment of the HOLY S**T thing is true and it actually is their best work.

yeah I saw they had all of LP's music videos yesterday and I didn't know they were even filmed in such a quality. too bad I hate itunes lol

 

It's like some HD ish going on.

And btw, I love the video. I love how they shot it.

Alright, some thoughts on the video with the song as well...

Powerful is just simply how I describe this song, it's got a great beat to it that just never stops and it's very catchy. There just isn't a better word. It's simply powerful. Good for radio but also just a good song in general. This song is very close to becoming my favorite. Judging by this video, it's VERY apparent they have grown up. A LOT.

The video is fantastic. It's definitely screaming U2, but I think that's a great thing for the band. They are some powerful images to go along with this song, a few that really stick out is the world trade center crashing and the testing of the Atom bomb. Just really some incredible images in that video. I think they are going to reach out to a different crowd, and bring their current fans right along with them.

If I had to choose one word about this song and video...powerful. Definitely a great way to kick off the excitement of a new album, with a brand new sound. I am impressed and am pissed we have 42 days till the album comes out.

 

I'm buying the video right now. Thank God I stay up to ridiculous hours of the night!

-the video itself reminds me of a Rise Against vid. that I saw not too long ago.

I like it though. VERY different from their older vids.
The actual single: I think its good. I was almost in shock cause I guess it wasn't what i expected... When I saw Mike take the mic during the vid., I got excited. I hoped that there would be more of a presence from him in the song, but not so much I guess. Now I wonder about the full CD.

Maybe it's just me but watching it a second time, seems they hit on everything from war, to hunger, global warming, racism, and the ever expanding waistline's of americans, self image issues, poverty, exploitation, terrorism, pollution, endangered species. Is there a topic they don't touch on with the images?

On another note, the filming is the desert is really cool. I like how they have the spinning cameras around the band members. And how just simple their set up is, they just flew out on a chopper, set up all their stuff in the middle of the desert, a "wasteland" and just started playing this song about all the things that we are apparently doing and about moving on from those mistakes, forgiving them.

This song isn't about them as much as it is I think everyone.

I love the video. I'm glad to see them tackle some more global topics. I feel like I'm growing up with the band.

The video is un-Linkin Parkish but at the same time it is. I love their look this time around. The video is a bit minimalist but it works beautifully, and it's a beautiful video.

i really like the colors mike has on too. the red black with the white stripe. i can imagine the new LP logo like that.... im just hoping that they dont lose their style of music.... and yes they have grown up a LOT. i remember hybrid theory's :SHUT UP WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU!

I cant either. I just got the video and its fricken awesome! What I like is that LP has grown up and sounds grown up. They have a nice raw sound! Def cant wait till the 15th!!!

 

ok I just got it off iTunes and W-O-W the demo clips do this song NO JUSTICE. I'm running a rather high powered AV system and the piano intro is so soft & quiet and then at like the 20sec mark once it picks up the thuds of the drums shake my couch and the song just comes completely alive!!!
