Dreamer being the only active ECW wrestler after 'Mania? Cry me a river. ECW has simply only been a vehicle to get Bobby Lashley over and to break the glass ceiling and get him in a good position to carry the company in a few years (yeah, right). ECW has squandered all their potential big stars (Cor Von, Burke, Punk, Thorn) by throwing them into a storyline that should have been done a long time ago. Seriously, I'm supposed to take Matt fucking Striker seriously? It still amazes me to this day that when Rob Van Dam and Sabu were arrested for possession, they were punished, but the superstars mentioned above that are involved in the steriod scandal won't be punished at all, despite the Wellness Policy being "enforced" (I use that term lightly). This is exactly how Eddie Guerrero died, and the main reason why the WP was put into place. I won't be sad to see ECW go. It's just the Bobby Lashley Show, and when need be, RAW or SmackDown! v2.
Well that really does suck that Dreamer's going to be the only active ECW wreslter after Wrestlemania, but you got to understand. ECW is now just a training ground for WWE wrestlers, to try there stuff out on television. Basically it goes: OVW/Deep South Heat ECW Smackdown Raw That's only for the most part. Sure, Deuce and Domino jumped right to Smackdown, but I heard they aren't going to be around too much longer. (Too bad, cuz I love their gimmick. >_> and Cherry <_<) And yeah, Bobby Lashley isn't the best. And I agree, there are so many more wrestlers who should be in his place. (IMO RVD, CM Punk, Burke, [yes I think he's pretty good] and Holly) Hell, even Dreamer or Sabu, would be great. I don't think it's right that, McMahon gave him a championship belt like the ECW championship, just because he was bitching about not being a world champion. But I guess what I'm trying to say is: We have to learn to live with it. Just think of it like this though... Atleast they don't give the title to and make ECW revolve around Mike Knox.
Wrestlemania 24 has been announced for March 30th, 2008 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FL making it the first since WMIX that it's going to be at an outdoor venue. I hope it fucking pours on them.
Nice! I've always like wrestling matches being on the outside. I think it's because it gives it a better and different atmosphere.
That Rebecca chick who was an ECW interviewer and basically got her job caused she fucked Batista on the side got released. WOOT!
And I've heard everything from he failed the wellness program, steriods, and even that he attacked Stephanie McMahon.
I thought it was the wellness thing too. Then again, Meltzer's reporting the Steph thing. Apparently he was pissed that MNM wasn't doing WM 23 so he pushed her, she smacked the side of the table and Vince FIREEEEEDDDD him on the spot.
You know apart from the super card matches (i.e. Money in the bank, HKB vs. Cena, Taker vs. Batista and BOTB), the final card looks pretty average.
Well yeah I'm gonna try and watch it but I was just saying that there aren't as many supercard matches. It seems like Vince was just focused on the battle of the billionaires this year.
I heard it was because he got re-addicted to painkillers due to the Armageddon bump he took. So it's all Jeff Hardy's fault.
Actually, if I remember correctly, Mercury didn't put his hands up to cover his face during the bump so unlike Nitro, he got a face full of ladder. So technically I think it's Mercury's own fault for not taking the bump properly.
