I see nothing wrong with LP trying to be a modern day Pink Floyd. They wont be (no offense to them, its just...you cant have another PF...........ever.) but they'll sound friggin great thats for sure.

    And Andrea, you're welcome XD.

Sorry about that. me and my 20-year-old-self ain't even really sure what all Pink Floyd sounds like. From what I've heard of them, mixing them with a little LP would be very cool. No hard feelings mate.

Although they won't ever be the reincarnation of a classic band such as Pink Floyd, I do have to say that they'll probably be pretty damn close. Their new logo reminds me of the symbols that made up the title for the fourth Led Zeppelin album.

My God, i love this new vintage Linkin Park. :-D

You know, HIM and their song lyrics are kinda cliché where I come from. :)
Oh well, Billy Talent is ok (I guess, based on only like 2-3 songs from them).
MCR - Don't personally like too much, but guess it wouldn't be that bad.
Never heard of that last band.

    Likewise.

I just think everything is being overblown from both sides of the spectrum. Everyone's basing judgments based on 30 seconds of a lead single, either saying M2M will be the worst album ever, or a modern-day masterpiece. They're such wild predictions. It's like a contest to see who can think up the most extraordinary way to describe the new album based on a little clip. I'll get in on this:

This album will be so powerful that it can be put in a blender and used to propel rocketships into space. You can quote me on that.

This album will be so powerful that it will make Michael Jackson black again.

    I win.

Did anyone find out what magazine that article was in and the date?

This album will actually be so harmful to the world's stability that the doomsday clock will move to one minute to midnight :p.

    Okay,
    1. Im not a fan of this prospective line up and would be really disappointed if this is the way Linkin Park are going with this year's Projekt:Revolution and in my opinion would be more of a money making operation than a tour for their fanbase.
    2. People have to realise that you cannot please everybody and that to some people this will come as great news and look like an 'unmissable line up'.
    3. You just have to learn to relax and accept that times change and this may be how things go, try to let go of your anger and pre-conceptions and give the line up a chance, if you dont like it still then fair enough.
    4. I can kinda see where Linkin Park are going with this line up should I prove to be accurate:

    2004 2007

    Korn - My Chemical Romance
(Second biggest act on the bill and used to
warm up for LP and maybe even bring as
many people to the show as LP themselves)

    Snoop Dogg - Him
(Unless a high profile Rapper gets added it
looks as though HIM may be this years alternative
act on the bill since they like Snoop are more
likely not to appeal to the majority of fans but
attract an extreme section of fans *extreme as in
they like that specific style of music not just general
rock fans...not as in a strange section of fans)

The Used - Taking Back Sunday
(Band LP must be fond of and they think add to the
    tour)

Less Than Jake - Billy Talent
(Less high profile and softer act to the tour but must
    be a great live act)

I personally think 2004 owned and this one if like that would suck, but thats my opinion, you gotta accept that times change.

(I wanted StoneSour, Evanescence, (Rap Artist?) and Orgy... but thats life)

    Very long post over.

I've always wondered if HIM was to Finland as Green Day is to the US...

Um...wow. Anyway, I see your point about diversity, but aren't all the bands they picked pretty much the same genre?
TBS= MCR minus makeup and current popularity
HIM= MCR in another country (both use the whole death thing a lot)
BT=MCR with less focused aggression (ala 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge)

Diversity would be more like (just throwing stuff out doesen't mean I'd wanna see it):
LP, Bond, Ice-Cube, Insert Death Metal Here, and REM.
