I've just realized, if we defeat PSV there's a chance that we may recreate 2005: play Chelsea in the semis and Milan in the finals. Wowage.
That would be awesome. Maybe AC can go 4 up this time (highly unlikely though because Milan are nowhere near as good as they were in 2005)
Now would probably be the best chance you'll get at beating us for the first time since '98. I don't know how we're gonna respond to our latest dissapointments but all I know is that your team hasn't played in almost a month so you'll be refreshed and ready to have a go...us I don't know though. We'll either throw in a classic performance or we'll fuck it up completely.
I didn't know Arsenal had made a last-minute emergency loan signing to replace Adebayor and Henry... oh wait, that was the referee.
Thing is that Newcastle's defence is so outragously appaling that even if they had won the first leg with their 3 goal advantage, AZ still probably would have progressed. And Dean I dunno why you're complaining, sure enough you probably did enough to atleast draw on wednesday but you and I both know that at the Emirates your team were VERY lucky not have lost. And in other news Wesley Sniejder is apparently moving from Ajax to Barca which I hope to god isn't true. I badly want Sneijder to come to Arsenal, his passing and the unique style of his technique wouldn't only fit in well with us but would also add a different dimension in not only play making but attacking and set pieces. He's also very versatille like Rosicky is and can play with both feet and we need someone like that. Also we're meant to be signing Baptista perminantly. Although if the fee is what the reports are saying then all I can say is fuck no. Baptista isn't worth £13.6m, £8m tops for the form he's in now. Reyes is also not gonna make a perminant move to Real. They don't want him. Juve are planning for next season so here's hoping they make some awesome signings. I love Juve and I think that they were the only ones who got a real punishment for their part in the match fixing scandal. Sure they were the main perpatrators but the other teams did equaly bad things and got off pretty easy.
Firstly that was a completely different game and we deserved our point on the basis that we defended extremely well and Samuel put in his first good performance in about a year. Secondly, the other day Arsenal's goal was offside, everything went their way and we still put in a good performance. If we could actually score most of the teams we've played recently would have been caned.
Exactly, you defended well, you came to our new stadium to play the sudden craze of negative football and bore our fans, aswell as your own fans probably. And hell, it's about time things started going our way, in the past 2 years we've had very little to celebrate. Atleast with your team you have an American billionaire backing you and you can technicly afford world class players whereas my team is £210m in debt, the only team in the top four who doesn't have a billionaire backing them and have to spend money in our youth policy because we don't have the money to buy any proper world-class players (and then we're criticised for it because we don't develop much English talent). If you ask me we deserved to get something whether we actualy deserved to win through our play or not. It's been an absolutely torrid time to be an Arsenal fan this past month so we had to get a win, deservedly or not.
We'd almost been relegated the season before and were therefore low on confidence, had a manager who had only been at the club for two weeks and except for about four or five outstanding players we're still only barely Premiership class, so what the fuck were we supposed to do? I know you're in debt and all that crap but you're an Arsenal fan and at least you have (and have had) some of the best footballers in the world to your name, and at least you have a team who should at least get you into the Champion's League for the next couple of years and then be serious title contenders, by which time your debt will be more or less gone. And I didn't say you didn't deserve anything in the week, just that the referee was crap.
eh well...Leeds are going down now thats for certain...hopefully West Ham can stay up, for some reason i enjoy watching their football no matter how shitty it is...
I hope West Ham go down the game raising cnuts. Tevez is the only one who cares by the look of their games.
I lost all respect for West Ham after what they did to Pardew. Oh yeah, and Lucas Neill plays for them.
Pools v Darlo a week today! w00t! Dorlo didnt sell all of the tickets so they offerered them to us. Pools snapped their hands off! looks like theres going to be more away fans than home fans lmao!
West Ham wont stay up. I'm almost sure of it. Meanwhile my team yet again proved: 1) We can't defend for shit even when Senderos isn't playing 2) We're not reaching our potential 3) We lack serious determination 4) Teams don't fear playing us anymore
yeah Deano has a point though it doesnt make Arsenal's attacking end any sharper...would probably look at the back and get a older more settled CD to fill in and help the young ones get along...
I hope Blackburn can knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup, although I don't fancy playing either of them really. Blackburn are game raisers and Chelsea are a very strong team as is obvious.
i find it highly unlikely that Blackburn is gonna beat Chelsea...its just not possible...in my opinion anyway, chelsea would have to screw up really badly or for Blackburn to play really extremely well...
