What Has Verizon Done? Clip of Single Surfaces

I respect the clip.

 

Just based on this clip, I dont think that its as good as Linkin Park has made thier new sound out to be. Of course, this is a 30 second clip and I really can not judge the song based on it.

Also, somebody before said that by the sounds of it, Joe will not be a big part of the album. I really hope that this is not true. I love the techno side of Linkin Park, and if it does not appear on the new album, I am gonna be pretty upset. Linkin Park said that one of thier songs sounded electronic, though, so im gonna keep my hopes up.

 

On another note...

What do you guys think about the sound quality?

It doesn't really sound crisp to me. Or is that how it's supposed to sound now that they're in the studio? I hope not. :/

 

I hated Linkin Park when I first saw the video for One Step Closer. So yeah, it's too early to tell. Regardless, I like how they've mixed things here. The guitars aren't "blazing" as they were on Meteora.

lol, when be yourself by audioslave was released it was 4kbps LAWL! it still didn't change my opinion on the song.

that killer guitar riff/solo could be mike.

it sounds like two guitars are in that track.

mike does play guitar in some of the tracks, as well...

the tone of this song works. a "GOODBYE" song from they used to be and introducing, in a subtle way, a "new" linkin park.

 

i'm not listening to any samples of this until i get a release of the full record.
so i'm being kept in suspense on this one.

 

good point, i have a feeling mike will not be rapping now, instead, playing rhythm over a guitar solo

actually mike did say there would be rapping maybe not in this song but others yea i mean it wouldn't be linkin park without the hip hop side

Personally, it's a good deal.

The problem is that everyone was hoping for something more rock-iss..
and not so soft...

but hey! it just one song out of a 17 track-CD, it's kinda like comparing it to Somewhere I belong, of course, that song was still their old style ..


The only thing that I'm worried about is Chester's screamings.. didn't hear any of them.. but I still like it!

 

well also, linkin park isn't really my favorite band hahaha. so it's much easier if it was say new fall of troy or the new the locust cd that came out (even though it sucked after the second listen to).

still doesn't change the fact that i am excited for this though.

 

Its not that soft. Sure, I know its a far-cray from QWERTY, but its still harder than most pop-rock songs.

that's the thing, pretty much everyone hoped for more than pop-rock songs..

When I hear the song, it reminds me of vintages.. *weird*..
it's a mixture..

 

maybe the rest of the song will take us by surprise ^^
