God that was the luckiest win I have seen since Arsenal's 2005 FA Cup win. 9 Points clear and Ronaldo is fecking brilliant. Hope Arsenal stuff Chelsea tomorrow.
That was a fine performance against the Blades... Funny coincidence, all of Fowler's goals this season (3) were against Sheff. Utd and they were all penalties won by Gerrard
That wasn't luck. It was the fact that your team lacked the quality to put your chances away and therefore we punished you. Even though for the most of extra time we were down to 10 men. I'm not expecting us to win today. In fact if we lose by the odd goal that'd be an accomplishment in itself.
Pools are still top of legeu two! lovin it!! 18 games without defeat, some record that like!! we gotta play Swindon and Lincoln soon too. Lincoln are a good team, but Stockport are another 'form' side. they've won the last 10 games i think :/ but looking at it another way Pools are the first tem in any league to reach 70 points!!! haha Man U have 69 i think and have played less games but shhhh. oh yeh another useless fact for you all.. our free kick taker Richie, has the fourth strongest free kick ever recorded in the world lol. only Becks and another two 'stars' (i forget who) are stronger than him! how awesome is that lol!!!! in the last 3 games we've won just because of his free kicks! brilliant!
We didn't deserve to lose the final today. With a squad of an average age of 21.6 years we gave Chelsea one hell of a game. I'm not too downhearted but it is nagging me that yet again we were the best team in a competition and yet we leave with only negatives. But I guess if we had a russian billionaire in control of our club we'd probably have the same success Chelsea have had.
Carlos is probably one of them... Hitzlsperger could hit a ball pretty hard as well but I don't know if he had one of the most powerful kicks in the world.
I take it that's why they wear pads cups and helmets then. Look at the right leg of the player in the blue number 12 shirt. I bet that's never happened to anyone playing American football. What's more, that particular player made a comeback a couple of years ago playing part-time and coaching when he was incredibly lucky to keep that leg at all.
Henrik Larsson's leg break was horrendous: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ry3L1Ou9GM (How the fuck did fabgregas and Lampard not get sent packing, they were the two that were going at it the whole time?)
Just for the sake of adding my 2 cents (to PD who'll probably never return to this thread): I, nor any other football fans, or players have anything to prove to you. But I think if you had the balls to even go out on a pitch facing pressure, expectations, riots, and opponents not very hesitant to hurt you (oh, and the english media) and play a match, then you'd have the right to criticize the game. As it is, the ones getting the last laugh are the 'chickens' earning probably 100 times what you'll ever do. So come back when yuo have something real to say. ----------------
P.D. mate. i like you, but that was uncalled for. american football is a better game in your opinion. but if you think about it the people in this thread come here to talk about soccer (football) they obviously think its a decent game. and im one of them. to me and probably other who read you pointless post, it was a cheap shot.
No if you love Millwall or West Ham (like me) , but I know how is it when somebody kick you in your head, it isn't nice believe me...
whats the point in having a 25000 seater stadium (in league two *cough*darlington*cough*) and only having a liecene for just 10000?
