A lot of people say that, but on hardcore it lasted the perfect amount for me. Still need to go through insane, but too busy playing it online.
I have successfully completed the game on: Casual Hardcore Insane has anyone else completed it on insane mode and would like salg RAAM off for how much we kicked his stupid fat kryll humped ass?
So. My mate got it aaages ago. I think the multiplayer is great. Campain mode is great and there's a lot of different directions and approaches to take, even though certain areas of the game seem somewhat linear, that doesn't make it any less amazing though. I also love multiplayer because it means i can run in and chainsaw as much as i like since when i die he can revive me I love the chainsaw.. even though i have got quite sexual at using the cover. I kick ass when i want to, since the use of cover on this came is fucking ace.
I'm getting a 360 and GoW for Christmas. Can somebody explain to me the different gametypes in online multiplayer, and possibly compare it to online Halo 2 multiplayer? I've heard amazing things from most.
You should just take what ever GoW has to offer as what it is instead of making a comparison. To my knowledge, GoW is a third person shooter whereas Halo 2 is a first person, so there off the back is a huge difference gameplay wise. I'm planning to get GoW around Christmas time as well whether it's given to me as a gift or I get it on my own. I'm staying away from stores around this time because it's way too chaotic no matter where I go.
this game so makes me want to buy a 360. Maybe I'll sell/trade-in my PS2 and original Xbox and then use some extra cash to buy one. *scratches chin*
Mark, you really can't compare it to Halo 2. It's far more strategic than almost any online FPS game in my opinion. There are three modes, but all are basically variants of deathmatch. The first mode is Warzone... basically your standard deathmatch of 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4. Once you die, you wait until the next round, ala Counter-Strike. Assassination is just like it sounds -- one person on each team is that team's leader. It changes depending on who's doing the best for each team. Kill him and you win. The last mode is Execution -- it's basically like Warzone, except when you down an enemy (unless it's a one-shot kill) you have to get up close and either curb-stomp him or execute him. If this sounds bad, don't worry, it's not. It's really strategic and takes a day or two to get used to, but when you start getting good at it it's awesome. I thought I'd hate it since it's only deathmatch basically, but it's my new favorite multiplayer game.
Thanks for that. I'm really excited to start playing. Maybe we can try and have another few organized LPA games like we did once or twice in Halo 2. Those were hilarious times.
Funny thing, actually: on my first day to play Gears Of War online, I played wookubus from ThePRP (randomly, not on purpose). lol
Haha, got a 360 tonight. Traded in my regular Xbox and a controller for $100 off a 360 Ghost Recon Bundle with 2 free games (Gears of War, Rainbox Six Las Vegas). Cost my $450CDN ($390US) for everything. I calculated it out and if I had gotten everything seperately, it would have costed me $810CDN. What a deal.
i've tried GoW recently and i must say i am impressed with much of the gameplay especially the Mulitplayer, its more tactical then most shooters too altough some parts felt like Time Crisis or House of the Dead...the Campaign was a little dissapointing too...
yes, now go home you need to keep up the pace, either you were plaing in Casual mode and found it was to easy or too fast for you. i however am godlike on the game
