Linkin Park's Album Released In Spring 2007?

Wikipedia says Chester recently announced that the album should be finished by the end of this year, and released by the spring of 2007. First it was October, then the end of the year....THEN it was by the beginning of 2007....now it's by the spring of 2007?

 

Didn't this happen with Meteora, too, or am I just remembering things that didn't happen?

It's been announced that it would come out in the spring of 2007 for a while now. It's really old news.

2006 is almost over. It'll be spring of 2007 in no time.

I don't think it's a matter of "can" LP but "will" they. I just don't think LP has a desire to make a music for the fans. They've been mainstream too long.

 

That's what everybody says when a company or band delays a product they've getting ready to release, i.e. Microsoft & Windows Vista. I don't mind them taking their time, I just wish they'd stop giving us pending release dates every other month. I wish they'd just keep quiet until they can give us at least an album title, track listing, or a definite release date.

 

Early 2007 = First quarter of 2007 = Spring 2007?

I basically posted the same response on LPU, I don't see this as a delay at all.

 

I guess I define "Early 2007" as January or February.

According to the December issue of Blender Magazine, the Album will be released sometime in February 2007.

 

If that was the case then the LPU would dissapear tomorrow. LP have based all they do for the fans. Notice every time they release something they say they hope the fans will like it etc.

Don't think that just because they're a huge success they don't give a shit about anything but money. Would you turn down a multi-million dollar oppertunity? I don't think so.

 

I think that would be a fair release date. Anything after April will make me kind of mad though.
