after hearing QWERTY i can see a little change in LP's lyrics...to me it's more,well...agressive!! also mike said in LPU that the new rec. may have cursing on it (it's not a big deal he said)...what do ya'll think???
but maybe their lyrics will become even better if they don't go over them 30 times like they did with somewhere i belong. too much refinement can make the song boring i reckon

When they were interviewing him on Fort Minor, Mike said that the only reason Linkin Park didn't curse in their songs was because they didn't really see the need to curse to get the point across. If you listen to songs like Step Up, and High Voltage, there is a little bit of cursing, but it's subtle, and it seems to belong in the song. I don't see that big of a problem with it, as long as it's not out of hand. I think Mike was reassuring people that because they don't curse, it doesn't make them Christian Rock, cuz there was some issues on that a while back... I believe...
I just really hope they lose the pre-teen whole, 'nobody understands me, here I am in the dark' type of lyric that was all over meteora. I'm not saying meteora was childish but it did have a lyrical pattern like that.
personally, i like cussing in songs, it adds some, (im not messin around) tone to it..but LP wont go overboard with it im sure, they seem like they wouldn't
They need an educational song....perhaps one so kids can learn to spell words, like....oh, I don't know, lyrics maybe?
me? criticise an lp song? how could you even suggest that? hehehe i do love SIB, its just that i think if we heard what some of the original choruses were like, before they re-did it 30 times, we would probably see a lot more emotion from chester, he seems kinda detached in that song, especially live. i agree with you on the swearing in the songs though :cloud.
i don't really care if they swear or not cuz either way it's good. 1.if they didn't swear they wouldn't have to worry about their cds being edited and then radiostations could play the song how it suppose to sound. also parents won't have to worry about their kids listening to that. 2. if they did swear it was just mean they're trying to show us how they really feel about whatever they're singing about. well thats what i think anyways oh and didn't high voltage have swearing?

I personally wuld love if they wuld swear in atleast one song! it adds so much more agression and when youre pissed off you just wanna hear chester screaming "FUCKKKKKKK" lol it would be pretty intense
lol...well...I'd agree...but I still wanna say something about the whole swearing and stuff so... I basically think what they mean by swearing wouldn't be 'fuck' or bitch.....more like 'damn' or 'the same old shit' stuff that just brings more meaning or feeling if you will to the song...
