I finally found time to listen to this and I got to say it's pretty good, but not impressive. I give them their props since it's only a quartet, but you can do so much more even with four people. Like say, you have the cello keep the beat and have a viola/violin do a version of the piano part or an improvised solo in relation to Session to break up the repetition. Other than that, it was good and inspirational to me as a composer... I hope this is one of the less stellar tracks, though. :\

I can't say stuff sucks? Yes I can. Let's hear me do it? If it were my job to do it, I could do it far better than this. And just because some random can't do better doesn't mean it's good. Get a clue.

And take your childishness elsewhere thanks, not everyone has heard of TheKen, so don't act as if I was trying to seem cool or whatever the hell you were thinking by mentioning it, I just believe TheKen did really well "covering" the Linkin Park songs, whereas this String thing was completely retarded and not worth the time listening to, let alone writing and performing it. And yes, I've heard their last works as well.

You're warned for disrespecting staff, and being insulting towards others' musical tastes. Read the rules, or get banned. It's that simple.

You want to speak your mind, do so politely once and then leave the thread. You're just a negative person asking for it.

EDIT: Nice job Todd on the new warning system. This is my first time warning someone with it, and I'm impressed. No more logs

    Great Job!!

Hey, I would just like to say that this is a really cool quartet!
They have done really well with the sounds and the fusing combinations of the strings to make it sound almost better than the original.

Do you know where i can download more songs from the album?

Nothing for saying the 'r' word?

in other news, this isn't the same group that did the first String Tribute, are they? They got a lot better if so, not saying they were bad before, but it was a vast improvement.

Ok, didn't realise people were thin skinned here, I'm just used to typical internet slang on forums.

I'll rephrase: I dislike this string remix because several of the parts sound rough and out of place, which disrupts the flow fairly badly for me. The combination of instruments used also seems to fail to really create an atmosphere that Linkin Park's music is renowned for. They may have done the best job possible for such a task, however, it still doesn't help its cause. They would probably do better using a few more instruments, although I don't approve of usage of standard synthasized instruments like TheKen has used in some of his 'covers' like Pushing me away, seems to upset the feel of the songs, while the Piano alone seems to work perfectly.

This of course doesn't mean everyone is going to believe the same, but it is my opinion.

And Kayce, I didn't mention TheKen because of any other reason than to give the basis of what my opinion was comparing this string music to.

It's the same group. They've done tons of these albums so they've got their practice.

For those who are interested in hearing more, I'd highly recommend you to purchase the album, as it really helps these guys, who as we all know, can't pull in nearly as much as Linkin Park themselves.

And I agree, they've definetly improved a lot since the last time I heard them.

whenever LPA hosts a file, it is either not copyrighted or LPA has the permission to share the file. most files which are requested tend to be copyrighted and therefore LPA doesn't want them shared in the message boards. so, unless permission is given to share the string quartet version of "hit the floor", you're not getting it.

    makes sense? ;)
