Simply titled, the CD will be named Greatest Hits - The Atlantic Years. The 17-track disc will, as you should have guessed, songs from The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, Satellite, Payable on Death, and Testify. The disc will include a never before released b-side from the Testify sessions and a brand new song recorded especially for the release. The new song is being produced by Travis Wyrick, and will be mixed by Chris Lord-Alge in Los Angeles next week.

Greatest Hits - The Atlantic Years will be released on November 21st through Rhino Records.

Isn't it a little soon for them to be releasing Greatest Hits?

They've been together since the early 90's (I think. Don't quote me on it).

I hope the b-side and new song to be good. BTW , November 21st it's my bday. lol
They finshed their contract with Atlantic Recordings, who produced 'Satellite', 'Payable On Death' and 'Testify', so that's the answer for the ppl who wanna old stuff, because , 'Snuff the Punk', 'Brown', and 'The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown' were produced by themselves. At least that's what I know.
BUT, if it's a 17-track album ....They might put some of their old stuff .. there isn't 15 'HITS' from just three albums .. from their last 3 albums, hits were Satellite, Alive, Boom, Youth Of the Nation, Sleeping Awake, Will You, Goodbye For Now and Lights Out ... and that's all I think ..
So , the rest of songs should be : . Snuff the Punk, Selah, Southtown, Rock the Party, School Of Hard Knocks... for example.

Their first release came out in 1994, so you're partly right.

I'm probably not going to be buying this. I could easily burn it myself (as in make the disc myself since I have all their records).

I think what would've been more appropriate is having a greatest hits span all their discs, starting with "Selah" and ending with what ever the hell their latest single was.

I believe 'The Atlantic Years' means all the albums they released while on Warner Atlantic, and if I'm right, I don't think anything pre-'Satellite' was on that label.

I own The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, and there's an Atlantic Records logo on it.

I thought the same thing. Easily the best album by them, IMO.

While we're on the subject: I hate that damn "Boom (Lights Out)" (I think it's called) song.

    Most annoying song ever.
