Now that the album has leaked, I thought I'd see what people think of it.
I wasn't sure on it at first but it's grown on me. It's better than Out of Exile IMO, but I think the self-titled is better than this just. That could change after a few more listens though

My only complaint, is that it's still not on the same level as RATM or Soundgarden, but it's getting there, for certain.

    Favourite tracks so far are:

    Wide Awake
    Shape of Things to Come
    Revelations
    Original Fire

I love it. It has more calmer songs than the previous albums, but id rather hear some more energetic songs.

I kind of have the same opinion as ALIA as this album is better than Out of Exile by a long shot but just not as good as their S/T was (the S/T is a couple inches better). This album is completely solid through, and right now may be one of my favorites of the year, it may be a little more calmer, but most of the songs as always proved are catchy as hell some thanks to Tom on that (since his guitar playing is like uber badass).

I really like this CD, Chris Cornell uses his range much more and the guitar riffs are catchy and everything is very well written. Probably my favorite CD from Audioslave.

I don't like Audioslave all that much but I have to say that 'Like A Stone' is an awesome track.

I come home from a crap day at work and see this! I knew something great had to happen. I'm currently, uh, acquiring this, and I'll post my opinions later.

---I've listened twice. Awesome, and it's growing on me. I love it, AND it's growing on me.

Favorite songs so fire: Revelations, Somedays and Moth.

This is an awesome album. A massive improvement over OOE, not sure if it surpasses their self-titled. Even though people say its just Cornell singing Rage songs and Rage playing Soundgarden songs, it sure as hell worked.

Favourite tracks are: Revelations, One and the same, sound of a gun, broken city, nothing left to say but goodbye, shape of things to come, moth.

So far I'm not impressed, but I also am not letdown by it. There are some good songs, but I think there's a lot of filler, too.

I disagree. I can listen to every song without thinking the word 'filler'.

I really love the guitar solo on 'One and the Same'.

And the chorus of 'Until We Fall' is beautiful. The whole song is great, but the chorus gets me in the same way that the chorus from 'I Am the Highway' used to get me.

I actually love the chorus on the title track...goes from semi-heavy to plain melodic...awesome.

I agree. The beginning of the song is the opposite, that intro guitar is soft, beautiful magic, and then it goes to one of the funkiest things I've ever heard.

This is great. Out Of Exile was in a 3 way tie for my favorite album last year, and now Revelations is going to be my favorite this year, depending on how good KsE's new shit is. Wow. I listened to OoE for 6 months everyday, especiallythe last half. But this whole album is as great as the last half od OoE.

Does that mean you don't like KsE, or that you know it will be better? Which could pose a second question... How could you not like KsE?

I agree, i don't know if there any effects on the chorus, but Chris sounds great on it.

I love the way he sings the verses to Nothing Left to Say But Goodbye aswell, makes me all warm inside. His lyrics are always class.

Skywalker, you rock. You always find the greatest Audioslave/Cornell stuff. He is so talented. I would love to be able to play, sing and write like him.

I read your thread, Friskey. But I'm so addicted to this album that I doubt anything is going to top it. This could become my favorite album of ALL TIME.

Now that I've listened to it many, many times, I think the best songs are Until We Fall, Wide Awake and Nothing Left To Say But Goodbye.
