In that pic, it looks like Bob has a pompadour or something and is Ray's hair black? I'm not even going to comment on Gerard's hair.
The Black Parade will be released October 24th. The band shot two videos in two days, the second day was when Gerard and Bob sustained injuries on set. The video is said to be for the song "We are the Black Parade". The band worked with acclaimed costume designer Colleen Atwood who has done the costume designs for just about, if not, all of Tim Burton's films.
I don't really know what to expect with this album. There are clips of songs from the recent live shows they've played (none are even decent quality) and the songs don't seem to interest me much at this point. I'm hoping they sound better on the CD with the full sound and the good quality.
Yeah I've heard some songs to. They don't sound too good. Gerard doesn't sound like he improved on his voice. But I honestly can't be sure because the only thing I can hear really well are a bunch of girls screaming.
1) His hair looks awful. 2) I like the band, but I am not enthused about all of the MCR crap that's going to be in Hot Topic come next month. 3) Nor am I enthused for all of the freshman girls urnning around, screaming about how hawt Gerard or Frank is, liek, omgz! -_- Here's hoping this album doesn't suck.
They're moving in a completely different way on this CD and decided to make a rock-cabaret epic (as i just read in Rolling Stone). There's even a song on the CD called "Mama" which features vocals from Liza Minnelli. The concept of the CD and the descriptions make it sound like its going to be good but the live quality of the songs aren't living up to the descriptions at all.
From what I've seen and heard so far MCR>>>>The Black Parade. I heard Disenchant is on this album. How would that fit in with the story?
For those of you that don't know, MCR is debuting "Welcome To The Black Parade" tonight at the VMA pre-show. So, if you miss it...don't fret, because everybody and their mothers will post that shit on YouTube
Yeah...I've seen them twice opening for better bands and I kind of enjoy 'Three Cheers...' but I wasn't too into this performance.
I'm loving this song. When it started, I was like "uhhh...I don't think so" but then it built into something good. I can see why they keep saying this album is epic and a move more into Arena Rock.
The performance wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I don't know if I like the song or not =/. I think I need to listen to it again. I like the clothes that they were wearing. I'm glad Mikey finally did something with his hair. He looks wierd without the glasses though. I liked the way Frank's hair looked. I've always liked what Frank does to his hair. I didn't get a chance to look at Ray or Bob's hair. I think Gerard looks ok as a blonde, but if he didn't cut it so short I think his hair would look a lot better.
I taped the VMAs but not the preshow BTW, this is a bit off topic, but does anyone else think usually good bands sound horrible at MTV award shows? At the Movie Awards AFI sucked hard and today Panic! sounded nasty. They are both good live (specially AFI ) but just not at MTV award shows I guess...
I don't know, I've never thought Panic! was good live but I do like them. I saw their exclusive MTV.com performance and the vocalist didn't do too well.
Welcome to the Black Parade When I was a young boy, My father took me into the city To see a marching band. He said, "Son when you grow up, will you be the saviour of the broken, The beaten and the damned?" He said "Will you defeat them, your demons, and all the non believers, the plans that they have made?" Because one day I leave you, A phantom to lead you in the summer, To join the black parade." When I was a young boy, My father took me into the city To see a marching band. He said, "Son when you grow up, will you be the saviour of the broken, The beaten and the damned?" Sometimes I get the feeling she's watching over me. And other times I feel like I should go. Through it all, the rise and fall, the bodies in the streets. When you're gone we want you all to know We'll Carry on, We'll Carry on Though your dead and gone believe me Your memory will carry on Carry on We'll carry on And in my heart I cant contain it The anthem wont explain it. And we will send you reeling from decimated dreams Your misery and hate will kill us all So paint it black and take it back Lets shout it loud and clear Do you fight it to the end We hear the call to To carry on We'll carry on Though your dead and gone believe me Your memory will carry on We'll carry on And though you're broken and defeated You're weary widow marches on And on we carry through the fears Ooh oh ohhhh Heres the poignant faces of your peers Ooh oh ohhhh Take a look at me cause I could not care at all Do or die You'll never make me Cause the world, will never take my heart You can try, you'll never break me Want it all, I'm gonna play this part Wont explain or say i'm sorry I'm not ashamed, I'm gonna show my scar You're the chair, for all the broken Listen here, because it's only.. I'm just a man, I'm not a hero Just a boy, who's meant to sing this song Just a man, I'm not a hero I don't care Carry on We'll carry on Though your dead and gone believe me Your memory will carry on We'll carry on And though you're broken and defeated You're weary widow marches on We'll carry on
