New Album Release Pushed Back

    In a recent interview with KROQ Radio, Mike Shinoda revealed that the new Linkin Park album would be released in early 2007. Although band members had previous commented the new Linkin Park album would be released in late 2006, the band feels they need more time to work on it and have consequently pushed it back. Said Mike:

    "We were shooting for the end of this year, I think it's gonna be towards the beginning of next year actually. We're just being really careful with what we're doing and we're having a ton of fun in the studio. It's probably the most fun record that I've ever done; I'm having the most fun on this Linkin Park record that I've ever had in the studio. I mean, the Fort Minor record was fun and the Linkin Park records were a lot of fun, but we're just trying out things that... I don't even know what genre to put it in. I don't even know what to call it."

    I'm ok as long as they don't push it back to 2008.

    He said fun five times in the interview. Fuck having fun and record that shit.

    Well this kinof sucks, but I guess if it'll make the album better then more power to them. Just that they took their time with Meteora and look how that turned out.

    Kind of saddens me a bit. I hope they do plan to release a single or two before 2007 comes in though. We could use something to let us know they are actually doing something.

    You guys shouldn't be complaining. Some albums take a while to make. Have some patience. It'll be good.

    Ugh, they should have told us 2008 and made us happy by releasing it a year early instead of pushing it back all the time. They've been pushing it back for like 2 years now.

    I'm more pissed that now we have to wait ANOTHER year for Chester's solo album. Since chester said he would be pushing the album after linkin park's album. I know they didn't "KNOW" the album wouldn't be til 2007, but dammit, if it's going to take this long, take the final copy (That is suppose to be done of his album), press it and release it to everyone to hold us over.

    I kinda did, but I hoped things would turn out the better way. I wouldn't be surprised now even if they push it back even more. It better be good.

    I push myself to think this is like an orgasm, how longer it takes how better it is...

    Hopefully it is accually like that...

    Can´t help it, Linkin Park stays my favo band, only band I really buy the cd´s from, the only ones that is worth to buy... The only thing we can do is wait so...

    i really cannot wait for this album to come out. once its out, then Linkin Park will once again sweep the globe with its music, and its fans. i cannot wait for the release of it, so im going to sit here, and not move till i hear of a release date. :whistling
