Dear Agony isn't nearly as good as Phobia but it's still a good album and definitely worth a listen! I would suggest listening to their first two albums instead of Dear Agony if you haven't heard their first two albums yet.

Breaking Benjamin - Here We Are

i opted for Phobia first because I already knew The Diary Of Jane and that one got me into the band, so now I have to explore their music more deeply, so I can start by those two. I'm afraid they may not have other smash hit like The Diary Of Jane in any other album and Phobia is one of those albums that flows so well from track 1 to 13 that you don't notice time going by. I liked Phobia so much that I'm finding it hard to move on from it because I fear other stuff will be nowhere near this.

 

Enter Shikari- Hectic

With Breaking Benjamin it's definitely arguable they got worse with every album outside of the Dairy of Jane. Remove that album and it reads like a band who didn't know how to get better, they kept trying but didnt. I will say none of the albums are bad, I like them all but there's a very clear quality difference from the first three compared to the last two.

I would definitely agree with this assessment. Dear Agony just took Ben's lyrics and imagery to a much darker and mature area. I actually wrote an essay in high school about the imagery in Anthem of the Angels and they put me in AP classes the next year for it.

Up until now the best song is Medicate, I don't get why Polyamorous was much more successful. Good album before the halfway point, but not as good as Phobia. A bit different sound-wise as well.
