    Skillet - It's Not Me It's You
Listening to the album Awake fully and liking it quite a lot.
Still have to give a shot at Green Day's Dookie, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown at least. Let's see if those albums are as good as a whole as the singles are.

    Green Day - Pulling Teeth

Dookie is not making the cut until now. Nothing outstanding and it makes me think that it got recognition only because of Basket Case.
I find Paramore much more consistent than Green Day, even though I didn't like Hayley's new style.

Green Day - Jesus Of Suburbia

On the second song and already liking this one much better than Dookie, even though the last songs from Dookie were better than the initial ones. Dookie is not bad, but it's also nothing special, American Idiot has much more energy. Songs on Dookie sound too similar.

Surprisingly I see most people on Youtube saying much better things about Dookie. I don't think I'll change my opinion as to Dookie and after having listened to only 3 songs of American Idiot, it's already on my to-buy list and let's see what I think of 21st Century Breakdown, on that one the 3 songs I've heard are great (Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns and 21st Century Breakdown).

Dookie is seen as a landmark album for rock music in the 90s but American Idiot is the better album with better songs. Mostly Dookie is the one people reference though since it's nostalgic and influenced a lot of bands at the time.

It's true. If it hadn't been for Green Day, I think punk-influenced music wouldn't have been so popular and artists like Paramore (sadly not like they used to be), Simple Plan, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Avril Lavigne (only in the beginning of her career, in general I don't consider her pop-punk because her best songs are not the pop-punk ones, but more of alternative rock, post-grunge and pop-rock) wouldn't have had the same success they had. In that sense Green Day was a landmark act as to punk music and people may see Dookie as a landmark record without thinking about the overall quality of the album. It's pretty much the same with LP and Hybrid Theory, which most people haven't moved on from, even with Meteora being a better album and the band having done much more music since then and experimented in many ways (alternative rock, alternative metal, electronic rock, experimental rock, hard rock and pop). Moving on from a hugely successful album is something people will always find hard to do.

Avril Lavigne - Wish You Were Here
This song was perfect to hear when needing to come to terms with my grief after Chester passed away and songs like Keep Holding On, When You're Gone, Nobody's Home, My Happy Ending, Fall To Pieces and Slipped Away also helped me through those hard times and unexpectedly I felt worse three weeks after he passed away when I thought I had already overcome the shock, the anger, the feeling of solitude and the phase in which no one would understand me and say "He's just a musician, forget about it", without thinking that Linkin Park is a big part of my life and will always be and I will always remember Chester as my favorite singer and probably the best singer of the 2000s.

Avril Lavigne - Rock N Roll
The guitar solo on this one is great. Better than some solos I've heard from some rock bands.
