I decided to look up Fickle Friends on Spotify (haven't listened to them yet though) but I'm curious, how do they have 600k monthly listeners with only like 7 songs?

Did you like The 1975? they have similar sound, I guess but with a female vocalist and also their songs aren't too long.

Ah. I see. On Spotify it was just single after single so I was confused and a lot of them looked like remixes of the same one song over and over. Do they have an album coming out? I'll get around to checking them out soon, I just get intrigued everytime you post about them because as I said before I listen to a band called Real Friends so when I see the name Fickle Friends it always reminds me of that and a Fickle Friend is like the opposite of a real friend. And if they sound like The 1975 they are somewhat Pop Rock I'm guessing where as Real Friends is Pop Punk so it's like similar but opposite. I do love The 1975, their self-titled album is in my top 10 albums of all time. I'll let you know what I think of them when I listen.

His voice is one of the best! I finally saw them live last year and holy cow they are AMAZING live. Best set I've seen to date passing Linkin Park (yes, it's true) and the first time I saw Ed Sheeran.

 

Yeah they have a lot of remixes and acoustic versions beside the actual songs. and they're more pop than rock actually, I think New Wave is the best word to describe their sound (80s as fuck). and they said their album is coming out early 2018.

This album surprised dropped today as one long track with no tracklist. Curious as to when we will know what the songs are called haha.

Only a little bit through the album so fat but it sounds a bit like Deja Entendu which is a very, very good thing. Way way way better than Diasy.

I was curious when you said an artist with so few songs had so many monthly listeners 600k with not so many songs is better than some bands I listen to with discographies of 7 or 8 albums and more than 80 songs that have as much as they have or even less, but it's true that those bands are not from a popular genre.

For a song by Avril about losing or missing someone I would pick Wish You Were Here over When You're Gone and she has other songs about feeling lonely and without hope to carry on like for example Nobody's Home, Slipped Away, I'm With You and Losing Grip.
