See, that's fine. You don't have to agree with the sentiment. As long as you understand where people are coming from. That's all I'm trying to do.
In some bands the screaming/growling can be understood and those are the ones I listen to, but also in other bands I listen to there are only screams in one or two songs per album, or only short growls (10/20 seconds), but in most of the songs, it just depends on the band I´m listening to, mostly Symphonic Metal bands because I enjoy the environment which the orchestration and other instruments like the piano and also the windpipes (if it is Symphonic/Folk Metal) give to a metal song, which also has the characteristic heavy riffs and growls. Also most Symphonic Metal bands make the contrast between a softer and sometimes operatic female voice and the aggressive guitar riffs and growls. That combination of singing styles and instrumentation works perfectly for me, metal doesn´t always have to be loud and heavy in my opinion.
Lady Gaga makes better music then all her peers of the time (Katt Perry, Ke$ha, Sara B, Miley Cyrus, ect.)
For some reason I thought that would be an unpopular opinion, guess I was wrong Glad to see all the Gaga love! And yes, I love Taylor Swift! My favorite female pop singer personally.
For Lady Gaga I won´t say love, but it was good untill Born This Way, after that she faded. Taylor Swift I never really cared about her to be honest because I had a colleague who was listening to her everyday at school back in the day and it was anoying, even though I used to do the same and still do with LP.
My favorite female mainstream pop singer is Ariana Grande (actually, I only like Dangerous Woman, great album btw) she has a fantastic voice, and I love Dua Lipa too.
Back in the day I used to listen to Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, but when I bought Living Things and started listening to LP I forgot almost completely about pop.
