I bet the work on ATS drained them too much so after that they said "fuck it, back to What I've Done shit" which is why we got songs like Burn it Down and I'll Be Gone 2 years later.

I think that A Line In The Sand was just as awesome as the ATS songs, and THP is not a bad album by any means.
I'm also starting to lose hope that they ever reach the level of ATS again, but their newer stuff is still way better than most other music.

Just one question Derek, that soft start in "Nobody can save me" is like that happy sample in battle symphony or its more like a sad/emotional start?

Kinda feels a little bit more somber, but still sort of happy compared to other LP.

That's the words of someone who only listens to LP and hears stuff on the radio.

    Great job, Derek!

Really excited for sorry for now.

Is there a song where both Mike and Chester sing?

Sure, except that I don't listen to the radio at all, not to mention that in the past year LP was my sixth most played artist, and there were 27 bands with a play count of over 100 songs.

    Way to jump to conclusions.

Yes! and Derek said, Mike re-recorded that part, so it might sound a bit different.

Yes. But the song is even more fleshed out in that part now :). Instrumental is very layered and bumps HARD.

Fuck I can't wait for that, it sounds beautiful.

@Chris loves LP I was just basing it off experiences with stereotypical YouTube fan who only listens to them and think nothing else is good because it sounded like that at first glance since they say similar things, I was wrong then.

It is. Infact 'beautiful' can be used to describe a lot of this album instrumentally. Mike's production on this CD is excellent.

Plenty. They're just layered in such a way that it adds texture. Like Brad's guitar parts. There IS guitar on this album, just sometimes its there more for texture.

Do you think we'll get an instrumental+acapellas album for OML?

I HOPE. This album has a lot of remix potential.

Out of curiosity, are the drums of "Sorry for Now" like Alex da Kid's drums in his produced songs?

    (for reference)

Eh, Alex Da Kid clips his drums to hell. Demons' drums clip to the point of distortion and sound HORRIBLE.

But yes, I guess a similar 'boom' yes. Think Alex Da Kid if he knew what a limiter was.

Yeah I agree. I like drums so Alex da Kid can be a guilty pleasure once in a while, especially when his drums work, like Skylar Grey's "Invisible" song. But sometimes it ruins the mood as well like "oh, what a nice melody" and then BOOOOMMM TSSSSCCCHHHH BOOM BOOM TSSSCCCHHHH like it's the musical equivalent of a Transformers movie. It helps Imagine Dragons since they play around four-five drum sets in their songs sometimes, but it makes the live impact a little less effective.

But in all honesty Alex da Kid's recent songs' drum clips have been quite subdued once in a while.
