That's one of the strange things of this album cycle isn't it?

I guess so. Derek was able to preview half of THP around 2 months before release, but it's been kind of quiet for OML. Besides the band themselves, we haven't really heard a lot of impressions from the other tracks yet, even though the album is just a couple of weeks away.

But now I just realized how close it is to release, the wait hasn't been so bad.

Good so, I don't wanna read how some random reviewer shits on the album because it's too trash pop and bla bla.

I'm glad we haven't gotten those yet. No offense to those who wrote them, but I found the track descriptions to be a bit misleading. Of course it's all subjective, but it really game me some far-off expectations. If we get it this time I'm gonna try not to read it.

Then again, between the 3 official released tracks, and talking to myself, one more light, and sorry for now clips (and the people who've heard invisible already), we've heard a good deal of the album. Snippets, sure, but still a lot.

Flashbacks to the massive over-hype surrounding A Line In The Sand during the Hunting Party cycle.

I personally don't want to read any reviews because I want to form an opinion based on the first listening without any prior knowledge.

I honestly think the lack of reviews is to keep the album from leaking.

Joe, I've been out of the loop lately. When do albums usually leak these digital days?

THP leaked only a day before it was to be streamed on iTunes, IIRC.

It is a bit unusual that we don't have any full album reviews yet, since the album comes out in less than 3 weeks. We've heard 3 out of the 10 songs, unless you count those live snippets and other clips, then we've heard about half of the album, I'd say. But I think we may get another song before the album drops, probably Invisible. I think the album will probably be available for streaming or something on iTunes about a week before it comes out, like Living Things was.

It's not that weird honestly. Yes it's a little later than most bands, but I didn't even get the full The Hunting Party record for review on AltWire till about 10 days prior till release. The band does that to avoid the chance of leaks I believe.

Generally reviews come out like a week before an album releases, if not as quick to release as a couple of days. Almost a month before release with no reviews seems pretty routine to me.

IIRC, that was a huge mistake on iTunes's part.

Here's a thought: When can we expect to see the only review that matters - ArtistDIRECT?
I am definitely curious to see what sort of exaggerated descriptions will be created for OML songs, especially ones we've already heard

Legendary alternative band Linkin Park redefine music as we know it with bold new album One More Light. From Chester Bennington's infectious melodies to modern synth god Brad Delson's revolutionary licks, One More Light is an album that will not only change music forever; it will change the world.

Damn, that is so on point
Watch, our good friend Rick will actually use some of these words and phrases in his review. That is, if he's still writing for ArtistDIRECT.
