Anti-Flag - For Blood And Empire (Punk) ... Anti-Flag, their lyrics are sadly more relevant than ever!
R.E.M. – Fables of the Reconstruction (1985) It's been a while since I last paid Fables a listen, and even though I knew this was a great album, I forgot just how great. It is in fact among R.E.M.'s best, and up to that point it was the best thing the four had released. Check it out.
Cattle Decapitation - The Anthropocene Extinction (Death Metal/Deathgrind) This is some scary shit! Sounds like the soundtrack to the apocalypse. Travis Ryan has the most insane vocal range ever. Especially love the lyrical themes (environment, destruction of our planet, animal rights, humanity's failure) Wolves At The Gate - Types & Shadows (Post-Hardcore) I've been waiting for this one to come out! One of my favourite bands, Was not disappointed. Love the obvious Thrice influence. Great lyrics, too.
Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition Genre: Experimental Hip-Hop Transatlantic - Bridge Across Forever Genre: Progressive Rock
Polar Bear Club - Chasing Hamburg (Punk/Rock/Alternative) Polar Bear Club - Clash Battle Guilt Pride (Punk/Rock/Alternative)
One of my favourite bands as of lately. They're currently on hiatus though :/ Polar Bear Club - Sometimes Things Just Disappear (Punk/Rock/Alternative) ... 'Convinced I'm Wrong' is such an emotional closer! Jimmy's raw, raspy vocals at times actually resemble Tim Mc Illrath (older Rise Against-era), Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem), Chuck Reagan (Hot Water Music) or maybe even Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters). Polar Bear Club - Death Chorus (Punk/Rock/Alternative) This sounds different than the rest of their discography due to the vocal change (Jimmy's raspiness is gone). He had to admit he unfortunately couldn't do the gritty voice anymore. However, it still is a good, catchy record. Let's see when they (or if they ever) return. Maybe Jimmy can regain some of the rawness he once had.

I've been listening to Flume's "Skin" intensely for a few months now. It's not my favorite album of the year, but it's definitely one I've listened to the most. Mindblowing sonic design.
