Chillax. It'll be out when it's out. There's so much great new music out there right now, don't waste time building up new LP to unrealistic expectations.
i think this update should really give us smothing..like..idk some song names? like what i like to hear is mike telling us about specific song / demo they have and like share with us somthing really new.
As much as I'd love this, I doubt we'll get much in terms of concrete details. Maybe a snippet if we're lucky, but honestly I feel like we won't be hearing anything for another few months still. I'd love if I was wrong.
I think that we are not gonna hear a full song before end of July / August at least . Anyway a scavenger hunt would be cool
The longer the wait, the better it'll probably be. I mean Minutes to Midnight took forfuckingever and it shits all over Meteora. ATS took a while and it's better than m2m. the last 2 albums haven't taken too long and for me personally, I got tired of them quickly.
Happy that they are taking care of the album and taking their time, but personally THP shits over MTM And is better than A Thousand
I mean i find myself playing THP multiple Times in a week ( except for drawbar and AFN maybe ) and this does not happen with MTM and happens sometimes with ATS
I hope this means we see something more like MTM and ATS. I've dying to hear that side of the band since two studio albums now.
Yeah, as much as I love energetic music, I miss the band's mellower side. I know the band has always been a lively band, but they've released two firecracker/visceral albums in a row, I'd love them to tone it back and release something more chill. I'm not asking for ATS 2.0 (although I'd lap that shit up ), but I'd love if the new album contained sounds along the lines of Mall and Welcome, I really love that really chill sound. Of course there're loads of things I'd love to see the band to do on the new album, but out of them all, this seems like a very real possibility.
I d love to hear some esperimental things ( like UIB or WTCFM ) and some ballads ( FM / LOATR style ) . I personally hope they are not gonna Follow the Mall / Welcome songs style cause there are the things i like the least
Before Mike decided to go with the heavy sound of The Hunting Party, they were heading towards a poppier sound. to me it feels like this album is going to be the album they were headed for before they decided to go with THP. A softer pop/electronic/rock album.
Poppier doesnt mean less energetic. The band has never really released a full album of non-energetic music, although ATS came close. after two albums that have specifically been marketed as 'firecracker' and 'visceral' respectively however (both of which I enjoyed by the way), I'd be more interested in something mellower. Not poppier, but mellower. I'd love something more along the lines of In Between than Burn It Down, if you know what I mean.
