"Daydreaming", "Desert Island Disk", "Ful Stop" and "The Present Tense" are my favorites. Very, very good albums, but it's gonna take a lot more listens to form an opinion.

''Glass Eyes'' is the most depressing song they've ever made.

Meanwhile, ''The Numbers'' is one of the most hopeful songs they've ever made, the lyrics feel triumphant.

This album is magnitudes better than The King of Limbs. And I LOVED The King of Limbs.

I agree with it being better than King of Limbs. Though King of Limbs is amazing, and I actually find it easier to listen to than AMSP. This recent performance of Bloom is incredible. King of Limbs really shines live.

While the album isn't really blowing me away, it is a pretty great listen. Highlights for me so far are Daydreaming, Desert Island Disk, and Glass Eyes.

Decks Dark, Present Tense and Desert Ilsland Disk are my faves. It's hard for me to get over the versions of Identikit and TLW I've listened to for so long.

Lyrically, Decks Dark feels like a sequel to Subterranean Homesick Alien.

Not really into OK Computer for some reason, but I'll have to look at the relationship between the two songs you mentioned, Dave. That's interesting.

I was wondering what some of your guys' top 10 songs are.

    Mine (not in order):

    All I Need
    Lotus Flower
    How to Disappear Completely
    Reckoner
    Bodysnatchers
    Bloom
    Climbing Up the Walls
    Bulletproof
    Street Spirit
    Weird Fishes/Arpeggi

    I can't decide a top 10.

Here's an interesting fact. ''A Moon Shaped Pool'' is a hidden lyric in Identikit. It's in those weird background vocals that you can barely hear. This is the third time I think where the album title is sung but hard to hear. ''Kid A, Kid A'' is heard quietly at the start of Everything In It's Right Place, and ''In Rainbows'' is sung in the background during the bridge of Reckoner.

Listen carefully at 0:15, you can hear ''Kid A, Kid A''

This is my favourite one. On the isolated backing track, at 3:00 you can clearly hear them singing ''In Rainbows''

In Identikit ''A Moon Shaped Pool'' is the first lyric, as soon as those weird vocals start, it's said a few more times throughout the song as well.

I always noticed the "Reckoner" lyric you mentioned. Never noticed "Everything in its Right Place" lyric though, even though I've listened to Kid A hundreds of times.

I'm only on my second listen of A Moon Shaped Pool. I've never heard Thom sing the way he does on "Ful Stop" before this. One of the observations I made on my very first listen of the album.

I've noticed the "Kid A, Kid A" part ever since I first discovered Everything In Its Right Place. Then again, it took me literally 7 years to notice that there is a church bell ringing in the chorus of Coldplay's Viva la Vida, so whatever.

I used to think Thom was singing "Yesterday, I woke up sucking a nipple" for the longest time. Then someone wrote the correct lyrics as a quote on a blog and I realized what he was really singing, thinking "wow, the song makes so much more sense now".

Yeah, because "yesterday, I woke up sucking a lemon" makes much more sense.

It was just so out of character, to me, for Thom to say something about sucking a nipple. That's the only reason why the correct lyric makes more sense lol

Listening to this album at night is a different experience, as insignificant as a the time of day may seem. This and In Rainbows feel like nocturnal albums

Never heard of this until now.

It's from a Thom Yorke solo EP called ''Spitting Feathers''.

HOLY SHIT @ the instrumentation of Burn the Witch live, they nailed it. Thom seemed to struggle a bit with the chorus, which isn't a surprise to me, the chorus seems so damn hard to sing. I think he did great considering. They even performed My Iron Lung for the first in like 7 years and it was great. Hearing the new album live even with the crappy phone recordings just makes me realize how bad I want a Live from the Basement version of A Moon Shaped Pool.

I hope they do it, I'm sure they will.

EDIT: Here's the link for anyone interested

Pro shots will come in a few months, so I'll just wait for those. Hopefully they play at Saitama like they did for In Rainbows.

I wonder if they changed much of their gear and instruments this time.
