Anyways, what can we expect on LP7? My relatively safe guess: 6 safe songs that are radio-friendly and instantly forgettable. 6 songs that actually push the boundaries of the band and, because of that, will never actually be played live.
+1 Didn't the band say that Warner isn't even that involved with the albums? I distinctly remember reading something about Warner rejecting the proposition for GATS as THP's lead single and suggesting UIG and the band saying "screw it" and releasing GATS as they wanted.
To play devil's advocate, though, of course they would say that. Basically any artist (esp. one of LP's stature) would say that whether it's true or not. It's exactly what fans would want to hear.
Warner bros knows that LP is a cash crop band, the biggest band of the 21st century, and i think they would like to keep it that way if it was up to them, im sure they had plenty of say in THP
Oh, so it's like when those sports players who will never get a starting position still have to attend and participate in practice?
Linkin Park's approach to live shows is so frustrating. It's actually ridiculous that Powerless wasn't even played live. They need to ditch most of the older songs and make room for newer setlists.
Agreed. But I myself haven't had the chance to see them since 2013 so I'm only watching everything happen from afar
Next LP album should sound like this hate if you want
