Yeah, I know. I meant it still sounds like a natural transition after Meteora, despite being from 2011, which is why the band probably didn't develop the song further -- for sounding too nu-metal. I like 2 enough as a demo. It would have been a really interesting sound to develop. 3 sounds borderline Aphex to me.
Yep, Aphex Twin was the first thing that came to my mind while listening to the Pods. I enjoy the first 2 quite a bit. Last one, a little less.

If so, then Anyway, I found the Pods demos pretty cool when listening to the previews (still haven't heard them in full yet (waiting for my LPU CD to arrive)). Wow, I haven't used parenthesis within parenthesis in quite a long time
How could I not realize that they in fact just played In The End for me??? They are pack of sly dogs! But, is that the ultimate proof that all Nu Metal-songs sound the same?
If it's worth anything, a few years ago I spoke to someone who heard Pictureboard. I don't know if it was Adam, Lorenzo or someone else...but it was someone within the central LPU staff, and they pretty much said it was nothing special. That far more interesting and unique demos have made their way on to LPU CDs. Assuming it ever somehow sees the light of day (which is unlikely considering it cannot be cleared due to sampling), it probably won't live up to the fan generated hype and be a complete disappointment. It's probably no better than the other 1998 era demos we've been hearing. It just has received infamy because it was listed on a BMI song index (meaning the band probably tried to release it for LPU but couldn't get sampling cleared), and ever since then people have been wondering about this mysterious song they'll never hear.
That's literally what I've been jokingly suggesting this entire time and no one has picked up on it. #thepodsarepictureboard
The pods are my favorite. Animals is cool too. The rest is meh. Also I REALLY dislike the release format You know I really have to have things physical..sure we're getting a CD with the first 6 songs. But I really hope we are getting a CD of the rest of the songs.
