How am I just now finding out about Hybrid Theory unmastered? A place for My Head, In The End, and By Myself sound incredible on it. And I've never been able to tell that Chester's screams are at the beginning of By Myself before listening to this.
Happy birthday Hybrid Theory. You're only second to the bottom of my list, above Meteora. But I still love you baby, don't worry. <3
I was just thinking, what if LP had something really special in store for Hybrid Theory's 15th Anniversary? Something like a high-quality remaster or perhaps a remake, especially meant for the long-time fans that have stuck with the band. The remake could include a lot of elements that LP has learned and mastered since HT released, though the original sound and "feel" could be lost.
Yes, you are right, I remember. But wasn't that supposed to be their "anniversary present"? Yeah, this would be absolutely cool! Maybe a reinterpretation or reinstrumentation or remaster, or everything mixed, involving new techniques or styles they've learned since then. I doubt they will do something like that, but it would be so cool to see what the band would make out of this idea!
No APFMH? How dare you! I think the most likely (but still very unlikely) things we would ever see are a remaster, or some HT songs on a future acoustic collection/EP/LPU CD or something. They won't remake the whole album.
Acoustic guitars have long been worshiped as deities by those who practice black magic △△△ While it may appear that Bourdon was doing nothing, he was actually secretly uttering the incantation to reveal his true lizard form
Obviously, yes. But what I mean is not a collaborative reinterpretation, but a showcase on how the songs would sound, if they would be made today by the band. Something like that. Only Problem: They wouldn't make these songs today, anymore. :Kappa: No normal journalist could recognize that. You wouldn't know that if it weren't for your black magic, am I right?
Well, if the band came out with their debut album now and it was "Hybrid Theory", they'd be screwed. What you might be talking about is the band re-recording the album. It would sound exactly the same, except the singing would be worse and everyone would bitch for months. Both fair points.
