I'm surprised he mentioned a new album in 2016. Then again I'm not counting on it at all. It would be amazing though!

it most likely will come out next year. the past three records have had a 2 year gap before the next one was release so i don't know why LP7 would be any different (ATS 2010, LT 2012, and THP 2014). i have faith in the band that we will get LP7 next year.

Wouldn't mind seeing how a six-man band associated mainly with rock for their entire careers handled some EDM honestly. As long as Aoki doesn't get involved and turn it into Darker Than Blood the Second.

Yeah, stylistically, I think that "Darker Than Blood" is a little safe. I'm open to more LP collaborations with dance artists if they can really push the limits, which they definitely haven't been doing.

Totally agree. If they got really experimental I would love to hear it.

Sorta like Mike's remix of Castle of Glass. Oh that song is pure heaven.

Yeah, see, that track was very different to DTB. That one sounds more like an homage to the French house stuff that re-emerged in the mainstream around 2007 and 2008, but with stronger melodic elements, the bassline hints at 2010/2011 electro-house-with-dubstep-bass stuff that wasn't fidget ...

Don't like the song as a studio version that much, but the live adaption they brought up in the last tours was enormous!

I am really eager to see were they are going next. But that's no surprise speaking of LP, I know. :D

Honestly if LP did something like Path of Totality, I wouldn't mind them doing EDM. I still play that album regularly.

But DTB was more Aoki than LP. I don't think it's particularly fair to blame them for it's safeness.
