Okay this sounds great in my head, but probably won't translate well into text, but let's try..... When I first heard ALITS, I had this image in my mind of LP going to war with army of awful popstars, such as Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift etc. The video starts with LP walking through a war torn town (supposed to represent the state of music, in line with their "visceral" message). As the video progresses, the evil army emerges, which turns out to be hordes of generic music bands/artists, like the ones mentioned above and more crap "rock" bands like Arctic Monkeys etc. When the video reaches the extended guitar section, the LP vs Music war begins, with the "visceral" use of instruments shooting the enemies with lasers that come out the ends of the guitars/mics. This goes on until one scream from Chester causes a nuclear bomb-esque explosion, which, as the dust settles, shows LP standing proud over the battleground, with the final "Today, we stood on the wall..." playing in the background. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- TL;DR I need to lay off the LSD
I won't go into why you think Arctic Monkeys are crap but there's really no reason "rock" should be under quotation marks there. Arctic Monkeys are much more of a rock band than Linkin Park in my opinion.
