There have been a few pics and updates about the band (or at least Mike) being in the studio, though.
While this thread is still on ... it seems we might hear some analog synths in future LP songs. "Ready to tweak some knobs."
ANALOG SYNTHS?! Oh my god, as a big post-punk and new wave fan, all I can say is YES. YES, YES, YES, AND YES.
He don't wanna be let down He don't wanna live the lies again Honestly, just because Joe is playing with analog synthesizers doesn't mean we'll ever hear any of it. They experimented with a banjo, xylophone, and other instruments while making MTM, and we've never heard a damn banjo or xylophone.
Honestly, I'd gain even more respect for them if they did an entire album purely analog. Record to tape, analog synths, analog everything. They sort of did that with THP, since they recorded to tape for a lot of the songs, but the synths themselves were still computer based.
Soory, but i cant imagine how this could sound, can someone give me some examples (if they someday use this)...
I'm not getting excited for analog synths being in the album, I'm getting excited for the slightest idea of the prospect that analog synths just might be in the album. The legendary "Love Will Tear Us Apart" synth begins at 0:15.
Nah, Joe's not ever using this analog synth. He's just playing around it. I can bet that's what's going to happen.
I feel like even if it makes into an actual song it'd be more like: analog synths low in the mix, loud computer synths alternating with a wall of guitars over it
