I called out an AP.net staff writer for poor writing in a news post. Let's see how much hate I get.

I just can't stand when people butcher their own language because they're too lazy to learn how to use it properly. It's even worse when it's a journalist.

Like how sports websites use "tab" instead of "tap" when they're talking about someone selecting someone else. That drives me up the fucking wall.

 

My girlfriend has a thing for getting me free guitars apparently. She won this one in a raffle at a festival at my school. It's a First Act/Volkswagen Garage Master in white and black.

So Sam Smith won 4 Grammys.....I can honestly say I've never in my life even heard of Sam Smith. I'm getting old.

 

Isnt this the son of Will Smith?

 

He's a pretty good vocalist. He's one of the few pop voices I tolerate and like.

I think the fact that this year's Grammys put AC/DC first, cut the monologue and introductions, ended with a short performances and gave more importance to other genres kinda seems like they're trying not to repeat cutting off the end performance for the last 2 years. Also, Beck won album of the year, which is surprising.

 

Tenacious D won metal performance of the year

1. Not metal, but good band so whatever.

2. The song that won it for them wasn't even theirs. Can they just get one guy who knows his shit to pick on this category... Hint hint. *slowly raises hand*

 

A comedic act won Best Metal Peformance for an acoustic rendition of one of Dio's best....

They need actual metalheads nominating for a category like that.

 

If a ultra-mainstream website like Billboard made a list that complains about how to fix the Grammys and includes a point to fix the metal category, then they really need to get their work done.

I don't know. I was satisfied about the show. Sam Smith's much better than whoever is in his categories that he won, Beck defeated Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar won Rap Performance and Rap Song for the most deserving "i". The performances weren't bad, although I have an issue with Madonna desperately trying to be controversial. The night was kinda low-key, with mostly slow songs, collaborations and tributes, but at least they were vocally done well.

Also Katy Perry remains Grammy-less.

 

Metalheads aren't a small group of people. If they took it semi seriously they could actually get some more viewers out of it. Also where the fuck was Dave Brockie in the memorial?! Gwar has been nominated before. They've clearly heard of the fucking guy. he's one of the most influential metal artists of all time, throw him a bone! Guess I shouldn't be surprised after Hannehman got snubbed. Also two time grammy winner. He was in fucking Slayer for crying out loud. Nevermind... Done. Done!

 

Stop paying attention to The Grammys, people.
