Just met a couple of Walking Dead cast members at my first Comic Con. Scott Wison (Hershel) and Michael Cudlitz (Abraham). Had a great time with them.

Wow! You're a very lucky guy. :) I'd kill for an experience like that haha

I'm nervous and excited for the second half. Excited because Alexandria is here, and nervous because the first half of season 5 was pretty bad.

    Lol, whelp. Didn't expect that.

Can't tell if the episode was bad or decent. Better than most episodes from the first half at least, but I don't think that's saying much.

Nice cinematography for this episode. Speaking creatively, this might have been the most "artistic" episode they have done. Real shame we lost Tyreese, takes him out in a poetic way. A bit of the feels too. Overall nice job.

I think it's merciful Tyrese was killed off. He's one of the best characters in the comics and the show completely ruined everything about his character. It's almost better off he's dead so they can't continue to wreck the character. Garbage.

You do realize that Kirkman has said multiple times that the show is meant to go in a different direction than the comics. If you look at his character from a pov of the comics, than you are sadly gonna be disappointed. Two different characters.

I know that, but it's hard to separate the two when you've read all the comics. I'm fine with twists and turns here and there that deviate from the comics to keep it fresh, but my comment was less of a comics vs. show argument and more of a they fucked up Tyrese's character argument. Most of the other characters (save for different deaths, like Dale and Andrea, for example) are written pretty much exactly like their comic-counterparts, but Tyrese was written so poorly I'm surprised they even kept him around as long as they did.

I realize I sound a little contradictory with what I'm saying, but that's how it goes, I guess.

I do. It's pretty epic foreshadowing. I love it.

As if the show actually has respect enough to pull it off.

I think nowadays I'd prefer if there were a direct adaptation in anime form.

Anime The Walking Dead? Oh god, please no.

This episode went from really weird to very good, though I wish it made me actually feel something.

 I didn't even think of that, actually.

Noticed that on today's episode. Brilliant how they emphasize it
I believe Kirkman already stated Negan would not show up on the TV series. Hopefully he's just kidding. Would love to see the baseball bat scene.

Today's episode was surprisingly good, with some of the soap-level dialogue preventing it from being great. Very minimalistic, and the dialogue-free scenes stand out. Also surprising is the arrival of one major character of the comics.

    "We are the walking dead."

Episode was trash. The realization that the world is shit and they're the walking dead should have happened a long fucking time ago. Also, everything is going wrong, but here's a tornado to clear the danger! Divine Intervention enters the walking dead. Themes were weak, Father G wanna give up or not. Geeze.

Visually it's probably their best episode in years.

But hasn't it? I feel like I remember them saying they're "the walking dead".

It happened in the comics a while ago, but in terms of the TV show occurred two episodes ago. Some people are just butt hurt that it doesn't follow the comics, but whatever.
Last night's episode was solid, going farther in depth into Alexandria. If Negan is introduced, the show is gonna take off.
