Taken from CBS Radio and AP:

Thought this might be coming. All was quiet really on the Blink 182 front. Glad I got to see them last summer.

How long were they back together? Five years? And they only released one album?

Maybe this'll be their new thing. Tom will rejoin the band in, like, four years, and they'll be re-back-together for four or five years, but they'll only release one album before breaking up again.

It sucks because I thought Neighbourhoods was a pretty awesome album and I was looking forward to hearing something new from them.

Also, Will, jesus dude it's been years. Had no idea you posted here anymore lol.

I thought Neighborhoods was OK. I didn't think it lived up to all the hype that surrounded it. But it's pretty clear now that Tom's the one that was holding the band back from making another album, which is absurd to me.

And, yeah, I popped in from time to time here and there, but I started posting again regularly around the beginning of December. Hope all's been well with you, sir.

I think this will be the end of Blink-182.
    Period.
    Which is pretty sad.

    Tom has not quit Blink-182

We have recieved the following statement from Tom DeLonge's publicist:

Contrary to reports, Tom DeLonge has not left Blink 182. "I never quit the band," he says. "Actually, I was on the phone discussing a possible Blink-182 event in New York City when I heard the ‘news.’ The ONLY truth here is that I have commitments that limit my availability this year. I love Blink-182 and I’m not leaving."

    Tom HAS quit Blink 182.

We have received an interview with Mark and Travis calling Tom out on his bullshit.

I guess it's official now. I was legitimately excited for their next album (and I was telling my brother just yesterday about how I hope they get it done soon), so that sucks. Unless Mark and Travis will record stuff with Matt Skiba, which I honestly can't see working.

Dogs Eating Dogs was pretty rad, so I was excited for something new to materialize. A shame, I had thought Tom dropped the douchebaggery a while back. Sad to see I was wrong.

But holy jesus Matt Skiba with Blink 182 is going to be legit as fuck. Any of you Alkaline Trio fans? I hope some quality videos are taken of those performances, I'm psyched to see how they turn out.

I really hope Matt stays on in an official capacity. That would be so fuckin' rad.

Also, now we're for SURE getting a new (+44) album, which excites me more than all the AVA bullshit.

Guess it's pretty obvious now that Tom was just using Blink as a cash-grab to fund his bullshit other band and his other shit projects.

I haven't heard too much of Alkaline Trio, but they are pretty good from what I've heard.

Anyway, Tom made another post about the situation for those of you who don't know: https://www.facebook.com/officialtomdelonge/posts/868156439873363

Part of it seemed sincere but then part of it seemed extremely pretentious, including having to throw in "I follow passion. I hang with my son, daughter, and wife" - as it seemed like a dig at Travis with his recent issues stemming up with his ex-wife.

I like some of Alkaline's songs, but it's been a long while. Are they on some sort of hiatus now as a result of this?

Nah, apparently Dan had been aiming to do another solo album for a while and their last one only came out in 2013, they normally take 3 years or so between albums so this shouldn't effect ALk3 material at all. Any more than usualy, anyway.

Yeah, read about this a few days ago. Tom just continuing to be his usual egotistical cunt self.

Really hoping for more +44, and Mark's new band, and it'd be sweet if they could continue blink without Tom, haha.
