Sorry I couldn't make it to the meet-up I didn't know where everything is. Messaging in the pit on Brad's side. AFI just started playing.
Yeah, lol. Best fucking concert ever, and I still got front row after the meet and greet. Mike let me and the guy next to me sing the verses for Faint!!
Did you catch the crew guy spraying down the mic with Lysol afterwards? Hands down this was the friendliest show I've been to. I've been to good crowd shows, but what did it was security being happy and talkative.
Definitely will! Best concert I have ever been too. Chester was on point! The crowd interaction was amazing Yeah, haha. He had to make sure we weren't sick I suppose, lol. I was originally thinking about moshing my way up, but I just chose the more simple approach. I just told people excuse me the whole way up. Some weren't as thrilled as others, but I had to find some way to meet up with my friends. Definitely not the easiest task.
I'd have said a more thorough "Hey!" after the show, but by then my phone battery was at 2% and I was trying to get four people all organized back together.
I drained a lot on AFI, so I kept it just off during 30STM. Was able to get some decent LP pics and video. Sound quality isn't too shabby seeing as a I just recorded and held my phone with no thought as to angle or anything. And of course our jumping got filmed because we were an loud active little bunch over on the corner.
I finished merging my clips together. I think you guys will enjoy the stuff I got. I'll be uploading it very soon. Its 17 minutes of material. About half are filmed from my iphone 4s, the rest is from my iphone as well, but using snapchat.
Yeah, my plan was to just act like I had already been up front and just making my way back up. Fake it till you make it.
Yellow LPA shirt. This was from Local H's facebook from last night. [thumb]https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/10550824_10152663512243910_2391866403722968579_n.jpg?oh=7f210d28f4b1247d962f7b875dd5b403&oe=546251C7&__gda__=1417075384_c065479514a9e8c206658b08fb872654[/thumb]
I made it just half of front row, brought my Girlfriend along so didn't want to leave her behind. Only went as far as she was comfortable, otherwise, would've bullied my way up there. Anyways, my experience was great as well, I tired myself out from the beginning from moshing on the Mid-Right side of the pit. Beginning quarter of the performance was non-stop rock, amazing! Been sleeping all day today, tired from all the rocking. My only complaint was the sound quality. My girlfriend wasn't familiar with AFI so she couldn't understand and sing along. I am not a big 30 Seconds to Mars fan, so I really couldn't sing along. We were not really familiar with Local H so we were both dead during their performance. The only reason why LP performance was great was because we both knew lyrics. Did Joe post the pictures he posted of the crowd after the set anywhere? I was the guy with black shirt, Glasses, and LP Bandanna for scarf.
I actually made it upfront originally. Saw Local H, then decided to dip and prepare for the meet and greet. I'm actually surprised I got up front again, great spot, but the constant pushing was a bit more irritating this year. Also forgot, for the 2012 Honda Civic show, I got one of Mike's guitar picks and gave it to my cousin. She caught one this show and returned the favor. The picks are really neat. Got Mike's autograph on one side and his picture on the other.
i finally finished writing about my experience: http://lpfreakification.tumblr.com/...gust-29th-2014-tinley-park-il-carnivores-tour warning u now, its very long
Jared stopped the intro to a song because there was some guy just standing there up front and he threatened to bring him on stage if he didn't start moving. Yeah, I caught the backstage area too... And managed to see Chester jumping up in the air and throwing stuff everywhere, and I just busted out laughing. I was curious about what was happening during the end of What I've Done too. At first I thought Brad was just getting too into it, but IDK. I need a better recording to tell for sure. EDIT: And you were really really close to where I was. I probably in most of your videos. EDIT2: Yep. There's me and my sweaty and becoming untied hair. And pumping my fist to Final Masquerade. Hey, power ballads can be anthemic.
A tad late, but here is a compilation of all the footage I managed to catch at the Tinley Park show. Got a couple of really good shots. Sorry for the crap GATS I filmed. The crowd was just too insane for me to hold my phone steady.
