Ok I haven't seen this poll yet so I decided to make it!!! What is the BEST remix on Reanimation and why does it stand out to you above all the others? EDIT: I am only including remixes based on the original HT songs. I couldn't let Riff Raff win. Sorry guys.
I know a lot of people are going to throw some of the bigger remixes out there (e.g. "KRWLNG," "1stp Klosr," "P5hng Me A*wy"), but to me, my favorite has always been "Wth>You." The song is a surprisingly simple remix of its original. It flips the note and chord progressions of both the vocals and the guitar, a tactic that despite lacking complexity gives a lot of lift to the song. The song got heavier, louder, and fuller. They gave it a darker ambience, which I like so much about it. Above all, however, that bridge from Aceyalone is what makes the song. Such a powerful bridge to precede Chester's part that gets crossed with Chester singing "No." It's a song that gives me chills. Its original just does not have the same power or impact. The other bigger remixes I just mentioned are certainly the better of the tracks on the album, but "Wth>You" takes the cake for me. Such a great remix.
Plc.4 Mie Haed is without a doubt the best release from the 2000-2002 era. Nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING beats the ending to that song.
Gotta give it to P5hng Me A*wy. While the rest of the album feels like a bunch of damn good remixes, P5hng feels like a proper reinvention. The new chorus for the song is a billion times better IMO, and the "when I look into your eyes" verse is one of my all-time favourites.
While that song is fucking AMAZING, in my opinion Zion's part holds the song back a bit. It was so hard choosing between Krwlng and P5hng Me A*wy. Both of those remixes are far superior than their originals, and I definitely love them equally. But I chose Krwlng just because I feel like it's a bigger improvement compared to the original.
This one was a tough one for me to pick, but I chose P5hng Me A*Wy. My Top 3: P5hng Me A*Wy 1stp Klosr Krwling
Krwlng. I like it much more than the original Crawling. 1stp Klosr and P5hng Me A*wy would come next.
Best remix on the album? To me, it's equal between "FRGT/10" and "P5hng" ... but, whatever, I'll pick "P5hng".
I think P5hng Me A*wy has got to be one of the best LP remixes ever made. It carries so much more emotion than the original and the lyrical rework is brilliant.
