whether it's one of them or all four of them, there are songs being presented at the 'forefront' on the film that are incomplete. i love these four songs, and i am happy to just be able to hear them, but i just find it odd.
This is the weird thing. When I had inquired about Mall, and whether or not it was Mike on vocals, I was told it was indeed him but that the focus should be kept on THP, as it could be months or even years until the official release of Mall. The 'months or years' comment then gets corroborated by Joe Hahn's post stating the movie was coming out in Fall, which would be after THP was released for months and the band completed their US tour. So it all made sense. The leaked trailer gets removed, and THP comes out as planned. Now inexplicably...Mall randomly appears on Amazon France and Google Play (France) the same week as THP's release, and is available there but nowhere else. This is without any fanfare, or announcement from Mr. Hahn that some countries are getting the movie early. It just...appears, and yet Joe nor any of the band members have said anything, or seemingly stepped in to stop it's early release (as I'm sure it's easy to force Amazon/Google to remove listings). What the fuck is going on here?
I love THP for sure, but dang this just gets me excited for what else they can make!! I would be totally cool with an entirely soft album with lots of Mike singing, lots of electronics, etc. LP7 hurry up.
Crazy. I received my copy today though, I can say that much! I can also confirm the Blu-ray has no special features on it, besides trailers to other movies Wouldn't be unheard of; the US release featuring different songs, etc. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a recent example - the excellent Tonight Alive track 'The Edge' was only in the Aussie print of the film, plus a few European locations.
Actually thanks to IISUPERXEROI there is new news, which is that there is no new news which was not very precisely new upon asking the question if there was any new news. So I say, thank you IISUPERXEROI . You sir, are a hero.
After jamming to The Hunting Party nonstop for the last few weeks (which I absolutely love), coming back and listening to these is pretty easy on the ears. For as much as people bitch about Chester's vocal delivery on THP, he sounds exactly like he always has on White Noise. It just reiterates the fact that THP (especially the vocals) is extremely intentional in its sound. Chester sounds like a rabid hound in that song...in all the right ways.
Interesting. The last one was cool, but the first one seemed a little half baked and the middle two were just movie scores. Nice to hear more LP though!
I think you're actually right, the screams on THP in particular sound kind of similar, like you can't hear the grit in the scream very well. But it does seem to be what the album intended in it's sound, 'cause the scream on White Noise does sound like what you'd expect to hear from Chester. This hopefully shows that he hasn't lost his touch with his screaming.
If I purchase the Blu-Ray from Amazon France, will I be able to watch it? I'm from the US and I don't have an all region player.
Thought i'd edit Ammosick a bit together from what's been released of it onto the internet and uploaded it with lyrics on screen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnC9L_ZmCPg
