You're so lucky! Wish I lived in Johannesburg. Happy for you!

Thanks for the great write-up Derek, you actually managed to give us details on the songs as opposed to mindless hype like a lot of other reviews out there. Really looking forward to ALITS.

Thank You Derek for the great Review.

So, how i thought, the second "half" of the Album sounds more interesting to me.
If ALITS isnt a soft ballade , i hope i can find it in Final Masqurade
AND WAR :headbang: I love punk music <3 so i hope i love war to .

But a question i would like to ask: On which level is the songwritting on the another 6 songs you heared yet?

I often agree with your views lately

It seems like there is a general consensus on "poetic lyrics = good lyrics" / "in your face lyrics = bad lyrics". I don't think this is true at all. Sometimes, the second is more appropriate than the first. Sometimes, all I want to hear is "fuck this" kind of lyrics. For instance, I think GATS/Wastelands lyrics are pretty good.

Anyway, on topic, great review. The more time goes by, the more I think Mark The Grave and A Line In The Sand will be fan favorites. I'm fucking ready to hear all of this now!! :awesome:

Hey thanks dude! Honestly I don't think it will be that long before everyone will be able to hear the album through official means or otherwise so hopefully the wait won't be too long!

    :awesome:

"War", "A Line in the Sand" and "Keys to the Kingdom" sound interesting.

This review had to be approved by Warner so he probably wasn't allowed to say anything negative. I'm excited for Final Masquerade now simply because it has an 80's vibe. 80's rock ballads are the best!

DEREK! There seems to be some confusion here.

Keys To The Kingdom VS War? Which one contains more #visceral?

And you'd be wrong. KTTK has more diversity, but War is the most visceral and in your face track on the CD. Infact, some fans may find it too in your face and may not like it at all. That's why you have people like myself who love it, and others like Turtle who are "meh". It's literally a love it or hate it track. It's going to polarize some people.

I'm really looking forward to that track. Kerrang review said more or less the same thing than you. That, even aware of LP desire to go heavier, you wouldn't expect that.

But the title already gave it all. I mean, "War"... that doesn't scream subtility

Wow, so some people compared Keys to the Kingdom to Qwerty as heaviest tracks and said Keys could take its place in terms of heaviness, but now when you say that, could it be that War is lps heaviest track ever?

    Great write up Derek.

Would you say this album is the one that so many earlier LP fans have been waiting for?

Not to say that I don't like ATS, but there are many who have dreamt of a full blown return to a heavy album with the progression in musicianship.

I'm really happy to hear this, I really dig the heavy in your face tracks LP made like Victimized and QWERTY. Even one cover they did of "Wish" by Nine Inch Nails had this amazing scream on the bridge from Chester, certainly one of his best especially considering it's done live too.

Are guitars grungy on War? Do they sound like the guitars in QWERTY? And how are the screams on the rest of the tracks apart from KTTK and War?
People lately have been saying that Chester's voice is changing for the worse and I was surprised he couldn't finish that scream in UIG for some reason.

Also Derek, how well would you say the album has been "packaged"? I mean, as a whole, does it all just gel really well like ATS. Or is it all over the place like I felt LT and MTM were?
