Will you pre-listen the album, if there will be a a pre-listening like last time? Personally I would like not to, in order to leave the album it's excitement. But since I cannot withstand listening to the singles either, I will most likely listen 1-2 tracks at most, to calm myself down a bit I'm eager to know your opinion on this!
Been doing it since I got Somewhere I Belong in '03 I'm not stopping anytime soon! The earlier the better!
Personally I don't really like it somehow, because it just makes you think: "I know it already is out there, but I don't want to ruin my excitement when I get the CD/Download/vinyl. But I could just listen to it now, so I'll just do it." But I like to put the disc in, relax and concentrate just on the new, awesome music. The anticipation is cool, too. This pre-listening stuff makes it a lot harder for me to actually wait until the release.
that's because in the past you've received the album no earlier than the street date in your local area, but thanks to the internet, that's become a thing of the past. the "release" of an album isn't getting that cd in the mail or picking it up from your store, it's listening to it on spotify or downloading it from The Pirate Bay.
Yeah, I need to listen to "Guilty All The Same" in order to judge the MMU entries from the April round which ends in a couple of days. But, even without LPA-related obligations, I would eventually listen to whatever song comes free with a pre-order ... and rigorously avoid everything else.
The second I'm able to listen to it - I'll listen to it. And then I'll buy it. I'll try to avoid seeing the art before I have the CD. (In the booklet, not the cover.)
I'll be listening to it in a couple of days ... and, right afterwards, I will be listening through 20+ fan remixes! I'd hope so but I doubt it
Man you are unwavering minuteforce. I can almost guarantee you that you will love GATS I would never have sustained not listening to it with all these guys here hyped and gushing about that song when it came out. Have you heard that short preview? That's true of course. I still prefer the classical way somehow. It's more ... fascinating imo.
I did, actually - the very first one. I don't mind occasional small teasers like that as long as there are no vocals With LP albums especially, I don't listen to them until I've got the discs to play them off
Of course I will pre-listen the album. I can't buy the album in my country because of copyright so I don't care about what time the album will be leaked.
Of course I will. I usually listen to an album before buying it. I know some people like to wait so it's a surprise, but I want to make sure I like the album first before wasting my money on it. If it turns out I hate the album then I'm sure as hell not going to buy it. If I like it, then I will buy the CD to support the band.
