HERE IT IS:
I thought it was gonna be uploaded at 7:30 GMT, so at 7:22 I started running from my friends house just to hear it. I'm fucking dead right now, Coldplay. I actually like the drop a lot. Wish there was a bit more lyrically. It's built around the title too much. It's EDM, but classy. We'll see how it holds up during the next few months.
Coldplay jumping on that EDM bandwagon for a song. Not digging it. The other songs I've heard so far have been much better.
LOL so, I really liked the previous two songs so I was slightly optimistic. This track however ruined the optimism and sent me straight back to my indifference back from MX.

I'm not going to listen to those. I'd rather be surprised, I've heard 3 songs and I feel that's already a bit much.
So sad that I can't listen to A Sky Full of Starts right now. WHY MUST I BE IN CLASS?! The reactions here aren't surprising though, as most LPAers don't seem to like like EDM (evidence in the reaction to Recharged).
I have to say, I am really digging the new Songs I`v heard so far. Magic is Awesome, Midnight IMO perfect, and A Sky Full Of Stars has this Paradise-Arena-Chant Vibe to it. Really liking it!
I don't know. A Sky Full of Stars is too reminiscent of Mylo Xyloto and doesn't sound fresh at all. And it doesn't really have that EDM feel to it. Maybe that's the problem, because I'm tired of their Arena-Rock sound and that's what dominates this song. It's alright, but I expected it to be super-good and something different after all the hype.
YUCK @ the new song. After such moodier tracks like Midnight and Magic this is what they release? Jesus this is bad.
I personally like the song. It's good, but I wouldn't want a full album of that kind of sound, and thankfully, Ghost Stories won't be that. They really overhyped the song though. However, it might fit better in the context of the album; Chris Martin stated that A Sky Full of Stars acts as a euphoric release, in contrast to the depressing sound of the rest of the album. So I'll wait for final judgment. I fucking love that piano riff. I'm with Fillip. Just because it has a big electro-pop feel to it doesn't make it sound like MX, and it doesn't sound like that.
Never said it sounded exactly like Mylo Xyloto. The feel of it is reminiscent to that of Mylo Xyloto. To be honest, if I hadn't known better, I'd think it was a B-side/unreleased track from that era. I like it better now though, after about 3 listens. Still not into it, like with the other tracks.
Geez, you guys. I actually love ASFOS, it's very optimistic and I couldn't help but dance and love every bit of it. It definitely feels like the song that serves as a release (as the song is the second-to-last track on Ghost Stories) and it only hypes me up a whole lot more for the album. That's just me though.
Okay this song has already aged very well. Once I connected with the lyrics, I think I'm falling in love with this song
I'm not at all a Coldplay fan; I love Midnight and like Magic, but think A Sky Full Of Stars is a little too poppy. Not that bad, though.
I LOL at all the comments on YouTube proclaiming ASFoS to be just a Acivii song with Chris Martin. The whole band is clearly there, it's kinda saddening how they here some EDM sounds, and call it "just Acivii."
