I've imagined TINFOIL being the focal point of a storm with POWERLESS being the aftermath. The feelings and emotions that are evident in TINFOIL have carried over well to Glen Orpheus' remix, which, although it is not an "official" remix, it is pretty spot on with what the original had in mind. I can still envision rain drops, lightning, wind, hail and everything else associated with a severe, even tornadic storm while listening to Glen's remix. Yes, weather and storms are my thing, and you might envision something else, but the way he left his remix fade toward the end of the song was likened to me as a tornado moving away from where it just hit. I know that was a lot of interpretation from a remix, but that remix made me appreciate the original on a level that I couldn't imagine without hearing it. Really makes me wish I was good at video editing. Anyways, Reliving Things, FTW.

That's why I like the instrumental mix, actually. I appreciate that "Tinfoil" and "Powerless" share a track there. :)

It's not their worst album, but it's not the best by any means. It's about second worst in the discography. The first half might as well be Meteora in shittiness and the second half is good, but not good enough to redeem the first half.

Since everyone else is doing it:

ATS = Reanimation > Minutes to Midnight > Hybrid Theory > Living Things > that one time where Brad Delson took a shit in my living room > Blatant racism and attempted genocide > Meteora

LT is definatelly my second favourite album of all time after ATS, with Castle of Glass being in my top 3 LP songs.

Living Things is not aweful but still a dissapointment for me. Only song I still like is Castle of Glass.

A Thousand Suns > Minutes to Midnight > Hybrid Theory > Meteora > Living Things

I like how you included Reanimation but didn't include Recharged.

Living Things, even with its lack of appeal to me, has a surprisingly large amount of replay value for me.

I'd put LT behind Meteora as their worst record. At least with Meteora they were young and still in that nu-metal frame of mind. Even the timing of LT doesn't make sense to me. When you have them putting an ambitious record like ATS how can you go back to something as cookie cutter and blatantly radio friendly as LT? That's like taking 2 steps forward and ten steps back.

I don't know about the rest of you but I love all of LP's albums. To me, everyone is different than another. Even HT and Meteora are different (Meteora is harder than HT in my opinion). I was all over this site when the LT album cycle began and when it finally came out, I loved it and I still do to this day. I don't hate any songs on the album even though I admit I do love the second half more than the first but nonetheless I love LT as a whole. BTW can't wait for The Hunting Party!!!

It isn't exactly what you would call a "bad album", but I think it may have been rushed. There were a few songs that I liked, such as LITE, IBG, COG, and Victimized. But overall, the album just sounded generic and uninspired in my opinion. In order of my favorite albums by them it goes: Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes To Midnight, A Thousand Suns, Living Things.

I like how the order of your favorite albums is the order on when they were released (from earliest to latest).

I wouldn't say anything I know nothing about, just saying. Besides anyone can tell there's a difference.

I agree with Fury! They are different. It's the same sound, yet it's a different sound.

When the band members themselves say that it's Hybrid Theory Part 2, it's hard to argue that they are different.

Living Things is a modern day Meteora. Basically there's a few songs on the second half of the album that are considered more experimental than the first portion, but it doesn't redeem the album. I don't even consider Tinfoil/Powerless that experimental anyway so I'd say for LT there's only 3-4 real experimental songs.

I think this album also has Chester's worst screams.to date, and considering how much he does it and how much he did over the years, it makes sense.
