    Got an ambulance ride for the first time in my life today, got drugs that did wonders, and I'm back with crutches. Can't wait to tell my mom ... :shudder:

    I've sprained my ankle before, just light shit, but I stepped off a step so fucking weird this time that I heard a crack and I couldn't put pressure on it. Sat down, got a fever instantly, drenched in sweat, felt like passing out, gf called 911 and got a gurney in an ambulance - turns out I got a huge ass sprain, and my ankle swelled up to the size of a small orange. Could be anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months 'til I'm off, apparently .-.

    Question for those who've heard both: how much of a difference is there between NIN's Pretty Hate Machine original and remastered? And, more importantly, which one should I listen to first?

    While I had been listening to the original album before the remaster came out in 2010, I never sat down and compared the two. The main difference, judging by concensus, is that the sounds are clearer and louder; par for the course with remasters. The NIN Hotline's review goes into about as much detail as you could ever want.

    You may as well just listen to the original first, even if it's just to say that you did.

    So they just launched a local version of MTV in our country...and it plays nothing but music videos.

    NO TEEN MOM. NO SNOOKI & JWOWW. NO RIDICULOUS REALITY "TV SHOWS". ALL MUSIC.

    Except for the award shows. I'm a sucker for those things.

    The remaster sounds much more clear, and modern. It fills out a much larger soundscape than the original. The original sounds like it was recorded in the 80s (which it was), the 2010 remaster sounds like it was recorded yesterday.

    The best route would be just to compare the original and remastered versions of Head Like A Hole on YouTube, and other songs, and see which one you like better.

    I personally prefer the remaster.
