Pharrell Williams - G I R L (out March 3)

Pharrell has announced on Twitter that his long awaited second studio album, G I R L, will be released March 3, 2014 under Black Lot Music and Columbia Records. The Despicable Me 2 track "Happy" serves as the lead single of the ten-song studio album. Pharrell's last album, In My Mind, came out eight years ago in 2006, although Pharrell confirmed he will be singing throughout G I R L.

I guess I'm looking forward to it. I've been digging his stuff as off late, with the Daft Punk collab and all. Feel like he's reinvented himself a bit.

 

Always loved Pharrell, so I'm getting this ASAP.

Also, JT and Alicia Keys are the only credited duets. The others appear to only contribute add. vocals. PS "Freq" is a hidden track with JoJo (it's been a while) having additional vocals.

Swear to God, I've heard 14 songs named "It Girl" in the past two years.

 

I'm SUPER STOKED for this, since it's not only my favorite song from the album, but it has a FANTASTIC (and unconventional) director: Edgar Wright.

Edgar Wright's still got that visual spark to him. I love how it's well-shot. It's probably one of the prettiest videos I've seen.
