I've got a random story to tell.

So my Social Studies/Homeroom teacher (who is the most awesome teacher ever) just so happens to like Thirty Seconds to Mars. So he told a story on how a couple of years ago he went to their concert and was able to get in the very front. So near the end of the concert Jared decides to come out into the crowd right where my teacher is. And instead of keeping Jared up and assisting him, he does absolutely nothing and Jared falls flat on his face. Allegedly he didn't know that he was supposed to assist Jared (but that's just a bunch of baloney, he was trying to kill Jared).

Just thought I'd share my story of the day.

 

Maybe just an ordinary special occasion then... Not so badass.

So I made a comment to my mother about conservative Christians to my mother (we were discussing the new Arizona "turn away they gay bill") and she told me that "me of all people should know to be more tolerant of people's beliefs." To which I said tolerance isn't something thats given to everyone. Its given to people who prove they aren't shit stains on our society. It goes to people who won't fight progress and evolution tooth and nail. It doesn't go to people who think its ok to refuse someone service, housing or food based sexuality or gender. It doesn't go to someone who feels the need to deny my basic rights due to the laws of completely hypothetical being I don't even believe in. I won't tolerate you, I won't respect you, I won't recognize you as a fucking human being. I'm sick of it. Its not even any of your fucking business to begin with. In the words of Patton Oswalt I don't have to tolerate someone else's beliefs. I just have to acknowledge them and then I have every right to tell you that that is the dumbest shit I've ever heard in my life.

 

If Sony and Fox could stop being pricks and just let Marvel take care of Spiderman and fix the fuck out of X-Men, that'd be great.

Kevin Feige has a vision, and that shit just works. Bryan Singer allows X-Men to go all over the place, then fucks with his own continuity. And Spiderman needed a reboot before Tobey Maguire turned 70 and/or died?

Just let Andrew Garfield troll The Avengers as usual and let Hulk rip Logan in half.

Think I've found my balance in my routine and now I can come here a bit more often. Pleased with my participation here in the last few days. Still not too much on shoutbox but I think it'll come around soon.

Outside LPA things aren't all too good. I've been telling my foreign friends my city hasn't been too violent with the protests but today it was ugly a bit, "fortunately" no dead victims, but there are wounded people by rubber bullets, a 17-year old girl (who I found out goes to my language academy but on english class) was cowardly punched in the jaw by a national guard official, expired tear gas bombs, and towards the night military was raiding private residence buildings, gassing and looking for students to reprimand. Towards the night the armed collectives who sympathize with the regime made presence and started shooting for real (the friend I work with had a scare moment, as two of her cousins were there and had to run and hide from the shooters), but no one got hurt.

This is heartbreaking. I feel so on the fence, I want to protest (I must), but I don't want to compromise myself like that, it's way too dangerous. That's why I'm so active online, least I can do.

 

Please just be safe. I only see things there getting worse before they get better. I think your government has little regard for the lives of protesters and none of us want to see you in harm's way.

So I've just randomly downloaded Kid A, and I'm listening to it.

 

I found it easier to listen to OK Computer than Kid A. I really like it more.

 

Half a performance and they were still the best. Cool video though.
