    Why does Linkin Park use the word "lie" alot on their lyrics? It doesn't bother me but I'm curious.

    I was attempting to go through all of Linkin Park's song lyrics and see how many times it says "lie(s)," but I got too lazy.

    An honest answer? People lie and get lied to on a daily basis. Its a pretty universal human trait in which everyone can relate.

    I find that I use certain words a lot while I'm writing lyrics without realizing it.

    I guess that when you have the same guy(s) writing lyrics, you'll get a few repeated words now and then.

    Well, they used to use it a lot... I know "In Pieces" has the "don't lie" line, but I don't think there's any use of the word on ATS, or even LT really... correct me if I'm mistaken?

    "in these promises broken" .... Uhm, another sentence for a lie - YES they still sing about it (Not much on ATS)

    I actually don't mind the fact that LP uses the theme of lying in a decent amount of their discography. I've been listening to Breaking Benjamin lately and that band also uses the word "lies" quite often as well. As Hybrid said, lying is a universal theme that nearly everyone can relate to, so it's not surprising that edgier, angrier bands, namely rock and metal bands, make good use of this theme in their music.

    P. S. Hybrid, I am so dissapoint that you closed my first thread on the forums. So very dissapoint :trollface:
