Yeah, if Edgar Wright could start filming Ant-Man already, that'd be fucking great.

I've never quite realized how progressive my church is until just a few years ago. I was raised in my church to believe that all people should be treated equally, and love them all, for that's what Jesus would do. We neither believe that those who don't believe in our faith are condemned to hell, nor do we believe that homosexuality is a sin/unnatural. It was when I started going on mission trips with my church that I began to be exposed to the beliefs of the majority of Christians. It baffles me that there is such bigotry out there. For me and my church, Christianity is about love and equality, not blindly following every single stupid thing that the bible contains. If we followed everything the Bible says, we would be reckless, evil, bigoted barbarians (couldn't think of a better word). The reason I suddenly felt the need to write this up is because my church announced today that they're starting couples counselling, including homosexuals, which my dad is all pissed off about. It still leaves my dumbfounded that the father who raised me to love everyone, and be a good person, would believe that homosexuals are unnatural, and should go to hell. It pisses me off, but what can you do? I hope that one day, the majority of Christians well be awoken to their blind faith that's causing our society to backtrack in progress.

    Funny, huh?

Well, I lost my faith in god and stopped considering myself a member of the Church. Feels great.

Yeah, um, it's been like this for two thousand years, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

    Anyway, this post

The moon in Manila right now. My first time seeing a 22º halo around the moon. I took some pictures, but the ring is more visible here. Photo taken from When In Manila.

I need a change of undies... Every fucking band is just top shelf black metal (Behemoth isn't really black metal but whatevs). I don't knwo who the bottom band is but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because whoever made this line up knows their shit!

We had that here in Chicago about 10 years ago and once again last year. A rare sight! The reason the halo appears is because of a thin later of ice crystals high in the atmosphere that refract the light from the source (the moon) to form a halo around it. Sun halos happen too and are very rare as well. This is the closest I ever got to seeing one, with two very pronounced Sun Dogs, oddly enough happening last week when it was -17F outside...

Just had a taste of how dickish can the working world be. Me and my friends were given our contracts to read and sign last week. We read it all, didn't have a problem with it and signed it.

Starting on Friday we were given our 'company orders' for us to take to the bank and open our accounts. We noticed one of my friend's orders had a different wage amount than the one we read on the contract (it was lower) and she decided to ask if that would be a problem. The human resources lady told her "oh it's ok, the amount isn't a big deal when opening the account, besides, we are still yet to have the meeting with XYZ (and us, of course) to negociate your wages".

So thing is.. They most likely put a fake figure on one of the pages of our contracts and made us sign it in advance of the meeting in we were supposed to negotiate them. I hope I'm wrong and we get a decent amount, but this is the perfect setup for them to be dicks and put less money.
